Birthday: August 30,1988 Hometown: Edgewood, Kentucky Pro Player of: Halo 2 Other Favorite Games: Guitar Hero and many of the old school systems like SNES, NES, N64 and Sega. Pro Since: April 06 Favorite Gametype: Lockout Ball Controls: Default Sensitivity: 5 Strongside burst onto the competitive gaming scene in a flash, catching the eyes of established pros by finishing fourth in FFA of his debut tourney, the 2005 Las Vegas MLG event. Unsatisfied by a mere fourth place finish and driven to reach the top of the prize podium, Strongside quickly refined his astounding raw talent through a highly publicized daily training regimen. His dedication netted Strongside national accolades, as he became the 2005 Pro Choice Awards’ Most Improved Player. Possessing boundless talent, Strongside bewilders spectators through his flashy maneuvers and ability to escape unscathed from underhanded encounters. With seemingly incomprehensible performances, onlookers can’t help but label Strongside “lucky.” However, the strength of Strongside's highly developed 1v1 mindgames cannot be overstated. He has established himself as a top contender for the 1v1 crown. Strongside has become a fan favorite through his lively, personable demeanor and youthful charm, always displaying a genuine love for his sport. Although he holds a self-proclaimed weakness in team games, Strongside is a young and developing player whose frightening amount of talent suggests great potential for the future. Team: Legendz Career Highlights: Chicago 2005 1st in 1v1 and joining forces with IGS now known as Carbon Media Appearances: n/a Likes: Gaming all day and all night; traveling; hanging out with my friends; the MLG community. Getting lucky =) Dislikes: People who give up. Origin of Handle: Well, I have been through a series of gamer tags: FrostyCav,Th3Decoy, Lightnin6Decoy, StaticDecoy, YDS and Konishiwa (which also means “hello” in Japanese). I wanted a new gamer tag different from everyone; something no one would forget. I had made a list of words I thought were catchy. One day when I woke up I turned on the TV and before I could even see anything on the screen I heard “StrongSide” being yelled repeatedly. Right then I knew we were meant to be and since I am extremely strong I pretty much just thought it suited me well. Oh yeah, it is from the movie Remember the Titans. First Competitive Gaming Memory: My first competitive gaming memory is definitely one to remember; it was at NKY Halo. About two months prior to the tournament, I quit playing Halo due to my now ex-girlfriend. My lack of practice and experience made my team fall to a third place finish. Although my first competitive gaming memory turned out to be a bad one, it made me want to improve my skills. I also learned life lessons on how to deal with women… Make sure they know Halo comes first. haha :) Competitive Gaming History:
