Team Builder Rules and Guidelines
By Lies | Published: January 28, 2009 4:40pm EST

Guidelines
1. Teams must be named and have 4 confirmed Players (3 or 4 confirmed Players for WoW) before the Registration Deadline. Captains are confirmed after entering their contact information. Other Players and Coaches are confirmed after accepting their invitation to the Team.
2. Halo 3 and GoW2 Teams may have 1 Coach. Coaches must be added to the Team Builder before the Registration Deadline. Coaches who are added to a Pro Team must sign the Pro Coach Agreement before they will be allowed to participate in the upcoming Competition.
3. Each Competition’s Registration Deadline will be at 11:59 PM ET on the Monday, 4 days before the start of a Competition.
4. A Team’s Captain, in Team Builder, is the Player who purchased and/or currently owns the Team Pass. Therefore, if the Team Builder Captain is changed, the new Captain becomes the owner of the Team Pass.
5. Team Builder Captain change requests must come from the current Team Captain.
6. Players and Coaches, 18 years of age and older (19 years of age and older in Alabama and Nebraska), will be able to accept the Terms of the Media Release Form upon accessing the Team Builder for their first 2009 Pro Circuit Competition.
7. Players and Coaches who are unable to accept the Terms of the Media Release Form upon accessing the Team Builder will have to bring a signed copy of the Media Release Form and Parental Consent Form to Check-In.
8. Once a Player/Coach has submitted the necessary Form(s), online or at Check-In, they won’t have to submit another Media Release or Parental Consent Form for the remainder of the 2009 Pro Circuit.
9. After the Registration Deadline, Teams with a Coach in the Team Builder will be allowed to switch their Coach, but Teams without a Coach in the Team Builder won’t be allowed to add a Coach.
10. Individuals may not be registered on or compete as a Player on more than one Team. Individuals may not be registered on or compete as both a Player and a Coach for the same Event. Individuals may not be registered on or compete as a Coach of more than one Team for the same Event. Violators of these rules will be ejected and their Teams may be disqualified or forced to continue without a Coach or shorthanded.
11. All Teams are locked at the Registration Deadline. After the Registration Deadline, Players/Coaches can only be removed from a Team if they are unable to attend or don’t want to participate in the upcoming Competition.
12. Teams are responsible for notifying MLG (see email address below) of any last minute Roster changes. Failure to notify MLG of a Roster change that would affect the Team’s Seed will be considered a violation of the Pro Circuit Conduct rule regarding the manipulation of Brackets.
13. Players found attempting to use another Player’s MLGpro.com Username, in order to gain a seeding benefit from Rank Points that they didn’t earn, will be removed from their Team, suspended from participating in the current or upcoming Pro Circuit Competition, and stripped of any Rank Points earned in the current Pro Circuit Event. Such Players may also be penalized with a MLG Forum Ban, Ejection, the loss of Pro Player benefits, a fine, and suspension from future Pro Circuit Competitions. The teammates of such Players may be subject to the same penalties. If such a Player(s) is removed from their Team prior to the start of the Event, the Team may add a Player(s) in order to compete in the Event with a full Roster. If such a Player(s) is removed from their Team after the start of the Event, the Team will not be permitted to add a Player(s), however, the Team may be permitted to continue to compete in the Event without a full Roster.
14. All Captain Change, post-Registration Deadline Player/Coach Movement, and post-Registration Deadline Team Name Change requests must be submitted to jnelson@mlgpro.com

Amateur Team Management & Naming Teams
1. An Amateur Team is any Team that doesn’t have Pro or Semi-Pro Status.
2. Players/Coaches who wish to leave an Amateur Team, in the Team Builder, can do so at any time, before the Registration Deadline.
3. Captains who wish to remove a Player/Coach from their Amateur Team, in the Team Builder, can do so at any time, before the Registration Deadline.
4. Captains who wish to rename their Team, in the Team Builder, can do so at any time, before the Registration Deadline.
5. After the Registration Deadline, the Team Builder will lock and Players/Coaches will have to submit requests for changes. Players/Coaches will be allowed to move from one Amateur Team to another, after the Registration Deadline, if both Team Captains and all Players/Coaches changing Teams submit their approval of the change(s).
