Treeskunk Productions just released the ninth episode of the series and by far the most action packed so far. The tension between the Human and Elite bases finally snaps in an all-out assault by the Humans on the Elite in attempt to recover their lost documents. The Elites are completely unprepared for the Human barrage having spent much of the time prior to the attack arguing about the Legend of Respawn, the mysterious communications from spec-ops commander Halmat, and various methods of pronouncing Freng's name. Watch as the action unfolds in "Full Frontal," the ninth episode of Outpost: Isil!

MLG Meadowlands Predictions
- April 11, 2008 - 4:32pm
I think that the 2008 MLG Pro Circuit is going to be amazing. And it all starts tonight (and this weekend) with MLG Meadowlands. Not only will it be the first ESPN-covered MLG event, but it will also be the first with Halo 3. MLG really has come quite some way from when I first joined (you had to pay for VoD?) and the idea of live video-game tournament broadcasts back in the day with HaloTV. So congrats MLG, you're awesome. Here are my predictions (for Halo 3 only cause I don't follow other stuff)...
Str8 Rippin
Look for Str8 to take MLG Meadowlands. I personally think they deserve to win but Final Boss seems to always be there waiting to snatch victory out of their hands. I think that with the transition to Halo 3, Str8 Rippin definitely has the ability and drive to sweep this contest.
Final Boss
I think this is the year Final Boss falls from its usual podium. Why? Not only is Str8 Rippin looking amazing this season, but there are many more skilled teams fighting for this because of the GameBattles integration to the standings. I'm sure some of those teams may not perform well under pressure, something Final Boss excels at, but nevertheless it's not going to be the usual straight, easy run for any team this year.
So yeah, that's how I think those two teams will do cause I have no idea about the others really (sorry). So good luck to everybody participating. And good luck to the MLG staff on pulling this one off with only minor hitches and I hope you have a great season opener!

Hey, if you haven't heard of the machinima series called "Outpost: Isil" from Treeskunk Productions (which I'm a part of :D), then you should check it out. It's an action/comedy series that takes place on Valhalla (amongst other maps) and is a remake of the Halo 2 series Outpost: Coagulation. So if you want some good ol' fashioned machinima awesomeness that isn't Red vs. Blue, then check out the series!

[gameroom]SkyZg00760o[/gameroom]Speedtesting...of Teh Interw3bs!
- November 1, 2007 - 12:39am
Yup, so I remembered I did a speedtest once. Like last year and a half ago. I was happy with my cable internet (Charter) in my Homewood, Alabama house. It was about 3MBps down and something small up. Which really sucked btw.
Anyways, I'm up at the University of Washington. The 'net's a bit faster up here. Just a wee bit...here's one of the average runs...

So for you who don't know, that means i can download a 9.65 MB file in one second and can upload at a little faster than 0.25 megabytes a second (so 4 seconds for a megabyte) for those specific run. The fastest ping I've recorded on Speedtest.net is 4ms, which is hella fast. The fastest down is 77501 kb/s and the fastest up is 7053 kb/s.
So what does that mean? I don't lag :D That much.
Except when the entire school is on YouTube at night.
The True Final Boss
- October 16, 2007 - 6:42am
Final Boss has shown their true colors. Their true ability to utterly and completely dominate their opponents. And they didn't just dominate. They destroyed. They decimated. They displayed what has to be considered almost perfection. They did the unimaginable, they went undefeated at the national championship level. No one could stand up against the force that is Walshy, OGRE 1, OGRE 2, and Strongside. From start to finish, Final Boss outplayed, out-slayed, and out-scored every team they faced. Pain X, FBI The Agency, and Carbon had no chance against such an unsurmountable power. Would it have ended differently had Str8 Rippin made it to face Final Boss? We will never know (at least this year). What we do know is that there is now no question about Final Boss's dominance over the Halo 2 playing field. They "took back their podium" following last year's loss to Carbon and cemented their place as the number one Halo 2 4v4 team in the world. What led to that comeback? Final Boss's newest member, Strongside.
Strongside provided the kills and the support that gave the rest of Final Boss the opportunity to outperform everyone they met along the path to the championship match. But it wasn't just Strongside, every player had their outstanding matches, but it was truly Strongside that made the difference that turned the balance from last year's outcome. Despite their best efforts, Karma, GH057ayame, Gandhi, and ShocKWav3 could not turn the tide in the their favor as they fell 6-0 to Final Boss in the championship match. Final Boss simply shut down the Carbon offense with an incredible show of slaying. Strongside racked up an incredible 35 kills in the first match of CTF Warlock while OGRE 2 followed close behind with 27 frags. The second match of TS on Midship was close to the very end with Final Boss enduring to a 50-49 win with Strongside once again leading the kills with 21 (10 deaths). As Carbon watched their championship repeat hopes quickly fading, they were once again overpowered by Strongside's slaying in the final game of the championship, Midship CTF. Strongside racked up an amazing 40 kills while both OGRE 1 and OGRE 2 carried 33 and 30 kills (respectively). Walshy provided the tactical movements and kills to give Final Boss an insurmountable 4-0 lead with only mere minutes remaining. Carbon attempted to rally, but simply fell once again to the overwhelming might of Strongside and the OGREs.
What does this mean? It means that Final Boss is the greatest 4v4 team in the Halo 2 competitive world. Could Str8 Rippon have bested them? I think not. Final Boss played the game to perfection. Even if Str8 Rippin had had the chance to come face to face with Final Boss, I think the outcome would have been the same. Final Boss is the best. No questions need be asked anymore. And with Halo 3 ready and waiting, they may very well be locked in the record books as the greatest Halo 2 team of all time. How will they fair in the inevitable shift to Halo 3? Let's just say that I think we'll be hearing more of them next season.
So once again, congratulations Final Boss on earning the right to call yourself the MLG Pro Circuit National Champions! And congrats to all other winners and losers alike as you are the future of competitive gaming. Can't wait until next year!

Glad to see some more competition on the MLG playing field and that T2 hasn't gone lame.
*Update*
Congrats to Str8 Rippon for their incredible victory over FBI The Agency in the Loser Bracket match. Good luck to them against the ever-formidable Final Boss and maybe we'll see a new champion for MLG Chicago. Wewt!
*Update* Again
Congrats to Final Boss for their dominating 6-1 victory over Str8 Rippon. But more importantly, congrats to Str8 Rippon for showing that they're not out of the Halo 2 4v4 spotlight. They have really worked to get back up top and it obviously shows. Maybe next time eh? Now someone just needs to beat Final Boss...

Amazon Video Store Goes Live!!!
- September 8, 2006 - 1:02am
Check it out here and get ready for the online video store to take off. Apple is expected to launch its own version in a special press conference this coming Tuesday (12th) that will function within its iTunes music store. The problem is, that if the iTunes version lacks a DVD or high-quality video, Amazon's Unbox could quickly overtake it as the superior source because the majority of people don't want to watch videos on their tiny iPod screen or blown up into a pixelated mess on their computer monitor. Frankly, that's what I believe too and would use Amazon's Unbox over iTunes should that be the case.
Hackers, start your engines, there's probably a new DRM for you to crack!
