Q&A with oNeEye

All right, I’m here with oNeEye, new member of the StK (Shoot to Kill) Shadowrun squad, alongside Ogre 2, Walshy and eXt. Let’s talk about how you got involved with this team.

Have you been around the MLG community much before this, are you a relatively new face around here? I’m not an entirely new face. I actually played Halo 2 a bit, but I was never actually into a game that much except for Shadowrun. I really like the game a lot, so I’ll see how it goes. Obviously, since you’ve been around the scene before, you’ve heard of the legendary Ogre 2 and Walshy. What was the feeling of getting on a team with them? It felt really weird, just because you would expect a lot of the pros to act differently. People think the pros are like gods and act all cocky, but they’re not like that at all. They’re just regular people. They’re really cool to hang out with and they’re both good guys. It’s totally different than what some people would think of them. It was really an easy transition for me and I think they noticed that as well. Looking at the game play itself, what are some of the first round strategies your team will be using in the tournament? As a human, on most attrition maps, I will pip out, getting a rifle myself and giving a rifle to Tom (Ogre 2) and Dave (Walshy). Both of our elves, eXt and Ogre 2, will get resurrect, and Dave will pick up a tree. That’s pretty much our first round strategy for most attrition maps. The only difference in extraction is that I will pick up enhanced vision. It really helps to see where the flag carrier is going. Who are some of the top teams that you’ll be looking out for here in Chicago? The number one team would be Phaze 1. They are really a strong team. We scrimmaged against them a couple of times and have done really well at times and badly at others. Really, I expect them to get Top 4. Another team is Pure, with Oldbie and Chillax. We just scrimmed against them a little while ago. I’m not really sure what to expect, though. A lot of teams broke up or formed new ones, picking up new players because certain players couldn’t make it to Chicago. So I can’t really make great predictions, a lot of the Chicago rosters will be new. Thanks for your time. Good luck this weekend!
