TLR Advance to R6V Championship Match

| After just sending TU Dynasty to the Losers Bracket on the Xbox 360 Main Stage, TLR immediately began their Winners Bracket Finals match against Executioners West. Once again, TLR fought a marathon match, lasting a full five games before defeating Executioners West to secure their placement in the Championship Match. The first game of the match was Presidio Conquest. Both teams rushed to take control of the top of the map, in which TLR were able to grab two quick satellites. Kill after kill, TLR slowly dismantled Executioners until they finally secured all three satellites to take the round 3000 to 635. Executioners came back strong in the next round, mirroring TLR’s performance in the round prior, capping three quick satellites and winning the map by a combined final score of 3635 to 3290. Killhouse Retrieval was all TLR. Insane X kept coming up big for his team, capping canister after canister until they eventually secured a 46-33 first-round win. However, Executioners did not go down without a fight. The next round TLR got off to a quick lead, capturing two canisters before Executioners even touched one. Suddenly, as soon as TLR felt they had a comfortable lead, Executioners fired back with 2 successive canister caps, nearly tying the game at 41-43 just before the round ended. It just was not enough, though, as TLR’s cumulative total won them the game by a score of 79-69. |
