| Shadowrun’s competitive life cycle opened on a tremendous note in Chicago, as the dedicated community surrounding the title showed up at the top of their game, battling it out for pro status and the title of inaugural Shadowrun Champions. Can StK repeat in Orlando?
Although their Chicago event opened to a hesitant start, quickly finding themselves at a 4 – 1 deficit to 15th-seeded Greater Than, StK soon found the rhythm and finesse that marked the namesake’s dynasty during the 2004 Halo: CE era. While their split time between Halo 2 and Shadowrun (among other things) caused Walshy and Ogre 2 to have less hands-on time with the game than many of their adversaries, their decision making and general awareness was top notch. Shoot to Kill’s Chicago performance has shaped the competitive landscape. Prior to the tournament, no one was entirely sure as to how top level competitive play would pan out. StK provided one particular blueprint. |
