To kick off the match, StK made their standard push for the early artifact grab, taking it back into their spawn. What seemed to be an impenetrable stronghold quickly fell apart as the team’s two "rezzers," Ogre 2 and eXt, died in a firefight beneath the telepad. In a stunning display, Walshy and oNeEye turned a 2 – 4 deficit into a first-round victory with some astonishing pistol work. From there, StK were unstoppable. Over the following three rounds, no member of StK logged a death. Leading their tactics were some quick pushes by eXt to get beneath TLR’s formation on the staging and lob AMGs. The maneuver decimated TLR’s ranks, eliminating trees and weakening the trolls. Up 5 – 0, a server error occurred, forcing the teams to replay the round. Little was different in the replay. StK marched to an effortless 6 – 0 victory. Fans of Shadowrun will want to keep an eye out for eXt’s VoD footage of the round, as he unveiled a new teleport line (from artifact platform to the helipad) and managed an impressive reverse-teleport from the helipad into the vent to escape from a 1 v 3 firefight.
