| In an unexpected turn of events, TsK knocked off top-seeded Shoot to Kill in the Winners Bracket Semifinals of Orlando’s Shadowrun tournament. Although StK took the opening game, Pinnacle Attrition, by a count of 6 – 3, Lobby Extraction escaped their grasp. StK fell behind 2 – 4, as Three Shot Killers found the upper hand in the scrambled late-round firefights. As the game progressed, each round became increasingly tense. Each team appeared to be hesitant to make the first strike, as each looked to create an advantageous opening. Game 3, Nerve Center Attrition, saw StK attempt their new build once more. eXt equipped AMGs and Resurrect first round, and Ogre 2 picked up an SMG with money clicked over from oNeEye. The first round came down to the final seconds, as TsK held the artifact as time ran out. After a few back-and-fourth rounds, TsK pulled ahead and took the map 6 – 3. The meeting pitted several familiar foes against each other. Nistic, a member of OPN (Ogres Practice Noobs) during 2004 and a top Halo: CE player, found his first victory against an Ogre twin at an MLG event. xXx, Carbon’s coach, once more found himself working the sidelines opposite Ogre 2 and Walshy. |
