| On the main stage in Orlando, Secret Weapon just faced a scare as they took on Pro Circuit debutants, Infinite Potential. iP entered the match at a 2 – 0 deficit, carried over from the first meeting of the two teams in Winners Bracket Round 2. Hot off of their consecutive victories against Pure and StK, the Shadowrun finalists in Chicago, Infinite Potential looked to complete a triple play in the Losers Bracket Finals by topping Chicago’s third-place finishers. Infinite potential came swinging out of the gates, gaining a 1 – 0 lead thanks to some crafty rifle work by Murdok to open up the first round’s slaying. Over the following rounds, iP effectively battled from Tower Foyer High to counter Secret Weapon’s setups in the dark hallway. After two consecutive victories, iP picked up two sets of AMGs and rolled from there. Reflex posted a 12 – 0 – 1 stat line as Infinite Potential took the first map of the series continuation, narrowing the cumulative tally to 2 – 1. Secret Weapon extended their lead in Game 4 of Nerve Center Attrition. Furyk’s dwarf once more made an appearance, locking down a cross-map rifling position in the elevator banks. Holding a defensive position, SW frequently forced Infinite Potential to over-commit in their efforts to charge down the elevator banks. The defensive play earned Secret Weapon a 6 – 3 game victory and an overall 3 – 1 lead. |
