Curiously, the Shadowrun rankings now show Shoot to Kill at first (7600 points), Secret Weapon second (7400), Pure at third (7200) and Three Shot Killers in fourth (6625). Had StK not won its fifth-place consolation match, Secret Weapon would have claimed the top spot.
Shoot to Kill retain the number-one ranking heading into the National Championships in Las Vegas
Likely, the glider troll developed as a necessary response to the common use of AMGs (which are purchased as early as the first round in the current metagame). In high-level play, anti-magic generators now litter the arena. It appears the competitive field has discovered the true utility of AMGs. In addition to taking away a troll’s defenses, AMGs shape the landscape of the battle field, tear down setups and serve as a defense against backside teleporting flanks. |
