With the win, Harmony n Havoc went into Kill House Conquest with a 4-1 lead. As a strong point for both teams, each came out of the gates with similar strategies. New Era focused heavily on controlling the areas surrounding the middle catwalks, while HnH did their best to do the same. After a quick 1200 to 400 lead, New Era let HnH three-cap to catch up. Although it did not last long, New Era were able to eventually gain a single satellite back. HnH quickly recaptured it to win the first round 3000 to 1400. This victory led us into the final half of Kill House. Serving as the most exciting round of play witnessed all weekend, New Era immediately came out by controlling all three satellites. The team ran up a 1700 to 0 lead before HnH were eventually able to capture one of their own. This point is where the excitement took place: HnH only needed 1400 point to win the game and with New Era’s score at 2960, it looked as though the game was in the bag. Coming out of nowhere with a crucial three-cap, HnH racked up the 1400 points they needed at the last moment, shocking both the crowd and their opponents in the process. The win pushed HnH’s overall tally to 5-1 in their favor. With Harmony n Havoc only needing one more win, Presidio Retrieval was set as the next and possibly final game to be played. New Era attempted to control the top level of the map, meanwhile HnH focused more on the bottom. After gaining a 34-31 lead, HnH held possession of the canister to stop New Era from doing the same. After flushing out HnH’s defense of the canister, New Era were able to gain control of it, but with time running out, the team was not able to capture it before the round’s end. The final score of this side of the map ended at 43-30 in favor of HnH. |
