Undaunted, StK tried the same tactics in Game 5, Extraction on Nerve Center. This game was even more of a housing than the previous, with StK winning the first three rounds and then the final three, winning the game 6-1. Walshy went huge, with 14 kills and a mere five deaths. Ogre 2 chipped in with 12 kills to just five deaths. Every player on TSK was negative, minus 23 as a team. The victory narrowed the series lead for TSK to 3-2. Suddenly, the usually talkative, confident TSK were quieted. Their faces showed concern. That concern was warranted, because StK did not relent their pressure in Game 6. In fact, they seemed to win Game 6 with more ease than the previous two, if possible. Pinnacle Attrition was over faster than seemingly possible. StK took the first two rounds, before TSK looked to stabilize at 2-1. StK, however, sprinted to the finish with four consecutive round wins, taking the game 6-1. Just like that, the series was tied 3-3. If StK could pull off a Game 7 win, they would complete arguably the greatest comeback in Pro Circuit history. Winning a game in Shadowrun is usually much harder than other titles on the circuit. In Shadowrun, usually the best team comes out on top in the marathon races to six rounds. Huge comebacks have occurred on the circuit, but rarely of the magnitude of down 3-0 in Shadowrun during the National Championship Match. |
