2. Final Boss’ Return to Glory: Winning First Event of 2007 Season with StrongSide

There were doubters. Carbon had just dominated the last part of the season and took the National Championships. Many thought the Final Boss era was over. During the off-season, Final Boss made the controversial move of cutting Saiyan. Many posited the decision to be a desperate move to place blame in the face of so much scrutiny. No one can doubt Saiyan’s excellent play in the 2006 finals. Whatever had prevented Final Boss from toppling Carbon, in 2007 they came to the season’s first even in Charlotte and won in convincing fashion, featuring Strongside, whom Carbon had dropped in 2006 on their way to the top.
