Influence Outlast XiT Woundz 3-2

One of the best series of the Halo 3 Championship Bracket occurred between sixth-seeded Influence and 12th-seeded XiT Woundz. The teams were evenly matched in nearly every aspect of the series. Game 1 went to Influence, as they won The Pit CTF 3-1 thanks to a 20-13 performance from Demon. XiT quickly countered on Construct Team Slayer, nabbing a 50-46 victory. Poweezy paced Xit, going 16-9. At 1-1, the series became a best-of-three.

XiT took a 2-1 series lead after The Pit King of the Hill. Omega had a monster game, registering 28 kills and just 17 deaths, as XiT cruised to a 250-160 win. Influence retied the series in Game 4, however, as they won Onslaught CTF 5-3. The deciding game was Narrows Team Slayer. The teams were close to the midpoint, but Influence slowly pulled away, eventually winning 50-41. The 3-2 series win put the sixth seed into Winners Bracket Round 3.
