![]() As the number of teams remaining continues to decrease, the intensity of competitors is increasing steadily. Entering the fourth round of Winners Bracket play, a number of semi-professional teams have reared their heads and kicked competition into a stir. Clear favorites of the Open Bracket, Dignitas stepped into their first match against none other than Creation. Taking the first two maps of the series, everything seemed to be falling into place for Dignitas. Abruptly losing the following two rounds, Creation surprised competitors and fans alike with two swift maps won. Heading into Canals, Dignitas feared the worst and played as cautious as ever. Round after round was traded between Dignitas and Creation, leading to a 2-2 map score. Following a hectic standoff leading to a last second draw by Dignitas' sole surviving player, Creation fell apart at the worst possible moment to give Dignitas the shots they were looking for. Taking the series 3-2, Dignitas will be looking to play a bit sharper in their next round as they will be surely facing a rather dangerous opponent. Sticking it out through another very close game, Lethal Injectionz took down the Bad News Bears in a nail biter. Trading maps back and forth, we were lead to think that the Bad News Bears would strike again. Following some dominating rounds by Lethal Injectionz, the spree would end for the Bad News Bears, as they will be fighting for their survival in the Losers Bracket. Much like they did in Toronto competition, Dynasty Retaliation swept through Divine Fury in three quick maps to advance into Round 5 of the Winners Bracket. Following suit with some dominating wins, we will be seeing FYC, MoB Harsh Reality, Tuxedos & Sandals, as well as Ill By Nature in the following round of Winners Bracket competition. Keeping a steady eye on competition, Get Bronco found their footing against Get Known, quickly knocking the latter team into the Losers Bracket with a 3-0 map series win. Losers Bracket Round 4 showed us that some teams were just clearly not ready to be playing with the pros as True Talent, The Randoms, Insult To Injury, and Legends N Making were sent home with no retribution. Advancing over these teams are Honorably Mentioned, Release, LaN SlaughteR, and We Ain't Scared, all of whom have dominated the Losers Bracket thus far. Thrive and BallaHolics had no problem advancing into Round 5 of the Losers Bracket as they advanced along with Trilogy and TPG. Heading into Round 5 of the Open Bracket, competition is as hot as ever and there seems to be nothing that can cool things off tonight. |
