Dynasty Retaliation Wins GoW Open Playoff

 The Open Bracket has come to a close after nearly two days of competition. Coming down to a dramatic rematch between Dignitas and Dynasty Retaliation, we have now secured an eighth seed in the Gears of War Championship Bracket. Being in 3-0 disadvantage against Dynasty Retaliation, Dignitas found no room to slip up as they would be put deeper into a hole with every loss. Jumping into Gridlock at full force, Dynasty Retaliation hesitated not once in another dominating map. Despite all of Dignitas' efforts, Dynasty Retaliation found every opportunity to attack Dignitas' weaknesses and exploit every mistake that they commited to. Leading 4-0 overall in the Open Bracket Championship, the end seemed to be closing in on Dignitas. Not one of Dignitas' stronger maps, they quickly and quietly fell victim to Dynasty Retaliation's ruthless and aggressive strategy. Losing round after round, Dignitas would be living their last moments as they headed into one of their most comfortable maps, Canals. Breaking any expectations of this match lasting longer than ten minutes, Dynasty Retaliation came out with the rush that Dignitas never expected. Playing unlike any team had against Dignitas, we saw a path of destruction follow Terror anywhere he went as Dynasty Retaliation quickly took two rounds. Fighting back with their last ounces of strength, Dignitas fired back with two hesitant rushes of their own to tie the series at 2-2 overall. Not allowing Dignitas to run into a corner for safety, Dynasty Retaliation quickly found themselves directly in front of their opponents with a boot to the face and another win on the board. Taking the series 6-0 overall, Dynasty Retaliation will be heading into the Championship Bracket today with an enormous amount of momentum. Meeting Infinity in round one of competition, it will surely be a treat when the Championship Bracket begins later today. |
