Pistola and Calinorth Named as Dallas MVP's

 Now that the dust has settled from the third stop along the 2009 Pro Circuit in Dallas, it’s time to recognize Halo 3 and Gears of War 2’s Most Valuable Players! From Halo 3, Pistola from Triggers Down has been named the MVP for his outstanding performance throughout the entire weekend. Pistola posted a positive 141 k/d spread for the Event. No Halo 3 competitor other than Pistola broke positive 100 and he did that despite only playing 22 games over the course of the tournament. Pistola averaged a 6.4 k/d spread per game. He has been named as the MVP for all three stops on the 2009 MLG Pro Circuit thus far. On the Gears of War 2 front, a big congratulation goes out to Calinorth for his performance with his team, AmazYn. AmazYn came into the tournament as the sixth seed and fought their way through two consecutive best-of-11 series to win the Championship. As AmazYn's host player, much of the weight was put onto Calinorth's shoulder every match. He put up some huge numbers all weekend long and played a huge part in AmazYn's first Championship. Congratulations to Pistola and Calinorth for being named MLG Dallas’ Most Valuable Players, and look for them to make noise at the next event in Anaheim! |
