![]() Two generations of Rainbow Six Vegas competition have been introduced to Major League Gaming, and this past season has brought forth the cream of the crop when it comes down to raw talent. With the transition of Rainbow Six Vegas to Rainbow Six Vegas 2, many professionals have come and gone from the scene with some succeeding and others falling out of contention. Among the players and teams transitioning well into Rainbow Six Vegas 2, MoB RAGE found themselves on top of the world this weekend as they proved yet again that they are the team to beat. Plowing through a field of competitors in Las Vegas, we were able to see that MLG San Diego was not just a fluke, but a prelude to the season's end. Taking home $20,000 this weekend following some phenomenal performances against the elite, MoB RAGE overcame a rather large deficit early on to put together an impressive performance
MoB RAGE quickly became the best Rainbow Six Vegas 2 team of 2008.
Jumping into the final rounds, Iconz had no chance to turn around the momentum that MoB RAGE had. Using their dynamic roster to shut down every aspect of Iconz, MoB RAGE continued through the Championship with no hesitation as they would round-by-round get closer to that first place prize. After an awesome finals performance, JwhoJcash found himself celebrating his second consecutive Rainbow Six Vegas National Championship. Not to be left out, Instill Fear and LoSt CauSe put their foot into the door but failed to keep it open as competition became too fierce for them to keep up. Perhaps a bit worn out from an entire season of brilliant performances, these two powerhouse teams went home early with the knowledge that they are still some of the best gamers in the world. An amazing event in itself, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 competition surprised all as rosters were tested to their limits and many big names fell hard. After an entire weekend seeing the best players in the game, nobody will forget the performance that MoB RAGE was able to put on in the final rounds of the Championship match. Again, congratulations to MoB RAGE as they will be heading home with the honor of being the best Rainbow Six Vegas 2 team in the world. |
