Instinct Defeats Believe The Hype in an Unlikely PBR2 Match

![]() Instinct and Believe The Hype both suffered upsets in the Winners Bracket, forcing an unlikely Placement Round 2 meeting between the third seed and the eighth seed. The series was an extremely close affair, going to a decisive Game 5. BTH blew the favorites away in Game 1, CTF Heretic, winning 5-1. Cloud was 21-13, while Demon D produced a 22-15 game. Instinct evened the series after a 50-38 win on Team Slayer The Pit. Neighbor and Roy paced Instinct, with 14-8 and 15-10 respective performances. Instinct then took a 2-1 series lead after winning King of the Hill Construct. The 250-149 win came thanks to Neighbor's amazing performance. He notched 33 kills to just 16 deaths. FearItSelf also produced well, snagging a 25-15 game. Believe The Hype did not go gently into the night, snaring Game 4 of CTF Narrows with a beastly 3-0 performance. Tied 2-2, the teams moved to Heretic for Team Slayer to break the deadlock. It was all Neighbor here, as his early killing spree gave Instinct a lead they would never relinquish. They won 50-39 and took the series 3-2. |
