![]() And the stage is set! The last regular season live competition ended with a bang in Anaheim, as the world's best teams showed out in force to take one last stab at positioning themselves for the National Championships in Orlando, January 8-10. When competitors of this caliber face-off, you are always guaranteed a show, but few would have expected the spectacular display we witnessed this weekend. A curse was broken in MLG Anaheim, as Triggers Down became the first Halo 3 team ever to win back-to-back Pro Circuit competitions. But what made the feat all the more impressive was the way in which it was accomplished: by defeating long-time rivals and championship alternators Str8 Rippin in a mesmerizing 11-game series. Not only did the Championship Match come down to the wire, but nearly every game in the series was a show-stopping stand-off between the two dominant forces on the circuit. When the dust settled, Triggers Down had defended their top seed and set themselves up for the possibility of another unprecedented accomplishment: a possible three-peat at the National Championships in January. Congratulations to all of these teams and players, and be sure to catch the National Championships in Orlando, January 8-10! Halo 3 Anaheim Championship 4v4 |
