Understanding the Spawn System

![]() “I should’ve known he was going to be there…”. An experienced Halo player comes to anticipate where his opponents respawn. While intimate knowledge of the spawn system comes with experience, there are several things you can do to accelerate the learning process:
Know the starting spawns on each map; this will allow you to develop strategies from the start of every game.
* You can block spawns. If you stand on a respawn point, you can force opponents to spawn away from you. Of course, this practice isn’t fool proof, so you should be aware at all times…

* Map control = spawn control. If you’re truly controlling a map, you’ll know where an enemy comes back to life very quickly because your team will have sight of all the anticipated respawn points.
