Read below for more additional details about downloading the Maps and changes that were made for v7. Please note that Heretic has been added to the rotation. This map is currently only available via Halo 3: ODST's Multiplayer disc. The MLG Playlist will be updated to reflect the current settings sometime in November. At that time, the MLG Playlist will require players to have the Halo 3: ODST Multiplayer Disc.
How to Download To download Halo 3 files you do NOT need to be friends with the person who made them. All you need to do is go to Bungie.net, sign in (the same email under which your Halo 3 gamertag is registered) and download from that person's file share. The next time you sign into Halo 3, the game will automatically download them. All MLG Halo 3 Game Types from now on will be under the gamertag “MLG Gametypes.” To download the version 7 Game Types go to MLG Gametypes’ Fileshare and click on the “Download to Halo 3” links for each of the Maps and Game Variants. Each time you click on a “Download to Halo 3” link, Bungie.net will tell you that the download has been queued. The next time you sign into Halo 3, you will download the files. PLEASE NOTE: Bungie.net/Halo 3 limit your download queue to eight (8) at a time. Therefore, when you are downloading the MLG Game Types, Maps and Settings, you will need to queue up the first eight, then turn on Halo 3, let them download automatically (which clears your queue), and then go back to bungie.net and put the remainder of the files in queue. What follows is a detailed description of the changes made moving from version 6 to version 7: Version 7 Changes All Maps The overall settings were unchanged from v6 to v7. Three Gametypes were added to the rotation: Heretic Ball, Heretic CTF, and Heretic TS. In addition, Guardian Ball, Guardian TS, and Lockdown Ball were removed from the Game Type rotation. MLG Narrows 7 -Flag Holders have been pushed into the floor to remove the bump on top of the Flag Capture Points MLG Pit 7 -Flag Holders have been pushed into the floor to remove the bump on top of the Flag Capture Points MLG Onslaught 7 -No Changes MLG Construct 7 -No Changes MLG Amplified 7 -No Changes MLG Heretic 7 (Changes from Map Default) -All equipment removed -All explosives removed -Shotgun, Needlers, Plasma Pistol, Spiker, SMG, and Plasma Rifles were removed -Spawns modified -Supply Cases in front of the bases have been secured by Weapon Holders -Flag Holders have been pushed into the floor to remove the bump on top of the Flag Capture Points -Frag Grenades added to Carbine 2 -1 Frag Grenade removed from Pink 1 -All Grenades are set to 30 second respawn -Battle Rifle added to Pink 2, Carbine 3, and above each base -Carbine Rifle added above each base -Oddball spawn has been mounted to the Pink side lift to prevent a glitch where the Oddball cannot be picked up after it has been dropped on the starting spawn |
