Timeout With Ant

Ant: Honestly, I'm hoping for a Top 4 finish. It might sound a bit crazy to most people, but I think we can do it. I'll be satisfied with that, but anything less than Top 8 is unacceptable. MLG: What are your feelings towards your old Classic buddies? Are you guys still friends, or is there a bit of a rivalry there? Ant: I have mixed feelings towards Soldier mostly; I don't hate him at all. Legend is probably one of the coolest guys you can talk to, and Fear and I are up and down. We're all still friends and I talk to them from time to time. We have always been really competitive with each other. I would love for a matchup with any of them. MLG: Well let's give you that chance. If you had the choice to take on only one of your former teammates, who would you rather take down: Classic with Soldier or Status Quo with Legend? Ant: I'd pick Classic for sure. There is a lot of history with just the team name alone. I would love to beat Soldier to show him that they should have picked me up. MLG: Going into the event, which team do you think has the best shot to bring home 1st place? Ant: I'm going have to go with Str8 Rippin, despite their placing at Dallas. Knowing them, they are coming for 1st place. They bring consistency, and that's what makes them so good. MLG: When you weren't at Dallas, did you have a chance to follow the event from home? Who is your favorite player to watch? Ant: I did get a chance to watch a bit. I really don't have a favorite player to watch, but if I were to pick one I would say Victory X. I love the way he plays; it reminds me a lot of my own playstyle. MLG: What's your opinion on Heretic, the latest map added to the Pro Circuit? Ant: I love it. I feel as if you didn't play Halo 2 competitively, your team is going to struggle on it. I can't wait to play it on LAN. It should be a very exciting map to watch and play. MLG: What effect do you think the new game types will have on the competition in Anaheim? Ant: A huge amount, since Heretic is now played in three of the 11 gametypes. I wouldn't be surprised if this switch had a big effect on where certain teams place. MLG: Alright Ant, I'm sure you're excited to get back out there and play in your first game back. There's no doubt the butterflies will be fluttering. Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans and the fans of Under The Influence? Ant: I want to start off by saying thank you to UTI for giving me this opportunity. I hope there are still Ant fans out there and I'm hoping we'll see lots of Under The Influence fans in Anaheim. |
