My first event.
- June 11, 2007 - 3:21am
Well meadowlands has come and gone. It was an awesome 3 days but it’s real good to be home. First let me start off saying this was my first event so I didn’t know what to expect. The day started off with me and my dad waking up at 7:00 in the morning at the worst Howard Johnson I’ve ever seen, but you get what you pay for (I blame my self for being so cheap). After our breakfast we went out to find the meadowlands expo center and got lost on the highway someway but managed to find our way to the expo center by 10. Since we got there so early I just decided to go in line to wait. This was not one of my better ideas as it was very hot, but I ended up meeting some very cool people. First I met up with these guys from team disaster we talked about how this was each others first mlg event, Then I meet up with the Nsan3z (I almost forgot predator was on my friends list). Then after nearly five hot hours I finally got into the venue just to wait another 20 min to register for the halo 2 ffa. After all the paper work was done I finally arrived. It was nothing like I’ve ever seen before. So after I go exploring I see a few pros walking around thinking to myself “they look bigger on TV”. Since I had a lot of time to waste before the halo2 ffa took place I spent most of my time at the boost mobile lounge where I was owning in burnout revenge. Then me and about two other guys start having this battle for first place. I was in the lead and had this awesome system set up where I would wait till they came close to beating my score then I would beat them and end their winning streak and it worked until my name was called for my ffa match. I ended up getting 7th place with 19 kills so got knocked out the first round. So having nothing to do I made my way back to the boost mobile lounge only to find out that one of my rivals had racked up 22 wins since I had been gone he admitted he never would’ve gotten them if I had still been there. So defeated and tired I retired for the night to come back refreshed for tomorrow. The next morning was pretty much the same when I arrived at the venue I expected to beat that kids score on burnout but it wasn’t the boost mobile lounge wasn’t set up yet so I walked and met some more online friends. When I finally saw the lounge set up I went to regain my title as number one in burnout. As I was getting on my 7th when my second rival showed up and put a stop to my streak. Later that day I must have played well over 100 games of traffic attack but could never stay consistent. So as I was signing up for another chance at burnout I heard my name being called. It turns out I won this raffle for a lesson from the ogre twins. I was siked! So I went to verify my identity thinking how cool it was I was going to play with the ogres at my first event. Me and ogre 2 went on to beat ogre 1 and the other contest winner. Afterwards they interviewed all of us. When I got back to the burnout booth I saw my rival playing against lil poison and getting owned by him. I asked how many wins he got before that and he said 32 so I basically gave up then. Basically I left the venue thinking how cool the past few days were and how blessed I was to be able to make it there. I can’t wait till I’m able to make it to another one.
P.S. Congrats to the Team VVV, Prophecy, and Nsan3z. You guys were incredible.

Spiderman 3 *No Spoilers*
- May 5, 2007 - 10:55pm
Today instead of my usual routine of gaming and exercise I decided to spend some quality time with my step dad and go to see this interesting movie. First let me say I am a real venom fan (I actually think he's cooler than spiderman, my step dad thinks I'm crazy) so from the time I saw the guy who was playing him I thought to myself "What the heck!". Anyway I was really surprised by his performance especially considering his past resume. He was actually believable as someone who could take out spiderman. The sandman was a character you could really connect with, and Harry Osborne was just awesome. The overall story was well scripted and the end although not to my particular liking was ok. All in all this movie was great and it was definitely worth watching. If you havent yet get off XBL and go see it.
Venom's Awesome!
My Gaming Resume

The truth is I've been playing Halo 2 since it came out but don't have any major tournament experience in fact meadowlands will be my first major gaming event. I don't like to brag and say I'm better than I really am; I'll let you decide that but anyway if your looking for a fourth for meadowlands then I would be honored to play for whichever team would take a chance on a newcomer to these events. I cant say I'm a "Beast" but I can say that I am dedicated, respectful, and can take harsh criticism very well. I've been told I communicate pretty well and do know the location names for midship and lockout (currently learning the locations for the other maps) I will be going to atlantic city, new jersey for the summer so will be able to lan with a few people and if I do well at meadowlands will be able to go for the rest of the season. If picked up I will do what I can for my team to succeed. So thats pretty much it.
Good Luck to all teams at Meadowlands!
See you in the FFA losers bracket.:P

Gaming Seriously Helpful or Harmful?
- March 22, 2007 - 8:30pm
For the past few weeks I've been playing GOW with my team getting ready for the WCG qualifiers but a few days ago I played halo 2 for a while and to my suprise I was doing a lot better than I used to. My movement, aim, and glitches were so accurate I couldnt believe it then I thought to myself WHY? Then I gave it some time and came to the conclusion that I wasn't taking it as seriously. When I use to play I would care about winning so much I would over think my moves and just lose my cool; this time though I didnt care about winning I just played the best I could. I guess what im saying is it's ok to be serious about gaming but dont forget why you started doing it. For me it was not to win but to have fun.
P.S. But dont get me wrong winning is fun just not everything!
Finally got a 360!

Yeah! It took a while but I finally got one only downside is I had to trade in my old xbox to get it. I hope the new controller wont effect my halo 2 skills much. Gears of War is awesome!! I'm playing it on my new 17 inch HD monitor so the picture is way better to. Black Friday RULES!

well look at it this way. Pc gaming you are constantly having to update your pc to play the games on the best level. In console gaming everyone is playing on the same system and no one has an advantage over anyone except for the occasional person with a high def tv. Console gaming is also more mainstream and soon will soon be VERY big with the mlg tv series coming out.
