Ok guys well I'm at the airport in Orange County, California right now. I just dropped off Gab and Mr Octagon on their flights and now I have to wait two hours until my flight boards, great lol.

Well I figured I'd go ahead and type this out.

HydRa - BIGGS, Gab, Rabbit, Garbo.
24th seed in the Amatuer open bracket.
By far my best and funnest event.

I'll go ahead and give everything the play by play.

I landed in Cali on that Wednesday and met up with Gab who arrived aroun 20 minutes after me. We got on the supershuttle headed to the Anaheim Marriot. That night it was just gonna be Gab and I so we were gonna explore anything within walking distance and then just relax the entire night. California is NICE.

Thursday we woke up and had a huge breakfast at the local IHOP and then walked around more then started to hook up my box and screen to do some 1v1's and Octagon. After about 1-2 hours of that to warmup on split screen we wanted a little challeneg and since Thursday is the day most MLG'ers arrive at events we went down to the lobby to see if anyone wanted to 2v2 Gab and I. Well we found Kevlar and his teammate and I think we 2-0'd them. Then we 2v2's Rakling and Oh Bos, 2-0ing them. Finally we found some decent competition and 2v2'd Viip3 and Dubay from BiB. We straight wrecked them. They had their astros on and they were definitely trying their best and all Dubay was doing was talking trash and being cocky while Gab and I were laughing and doing dumb stuff, not even trying lmao. Well they finally leave and we go to meet up with my best friend MAC, his girlfriend, and his homeboy Godson to go eat dinner. We walked down to the Anaheim outside mall and it is SICK. Great food and stores.

So we go back to the hotel to sleep because Friday morning was Day 1 of the event and our teammates Rabbit and Garbo would finally get here. When they met up with us we went up to drop off their things and headed straight to the venue to check-in and warmup. We went a total of 17-2 in pre-game warmups. We were SOOOO F'ing HOT. If we would have started playing after those warmups we honestly wouldn't be touched because we basically steaked every game. Too easy. Kill3n's team got on our station and we beat them 50-26, then team Foxy came and we beat them 50-20, then some other team and we won 50-15. Then Kill3n's team came back and they did better, but we still won 50-31 LMAO! Well we couldn't be stopped and then they said warmups were over so we got up and of course had a BYE round 1. Well about 2 hours later we played Winners round 2(WR2). I forgot the team name we faced but we easily 2-0'd them. Well we're done for the night lol, WR3 tomorrow. We went home and didn't scrim, we just ate, relaxed and slept.

Saturday we woke up around 7am ish. We showered and got dressed and headed to IHOP for a Breakfast. Remember, BREAKFAST IS SO IMPORTANT!!!! We didn't eat breakfast at MLG Dallas and it sucked. Anyways after that we went to Warmups around 9:20am and went 2-0 before they warmups were over. We were barely warm but this early in the brackets didn't matter. Winners round 3(WR3) was against The Godz Reborn, or something. They had 2-1'd XPosure. We sat down and I had noticed it was cClimax's team. I had played Climax in a gamebattles 1v1 and someone I don't know uploaded the game and put it on youtube. I knew he was just an online kid. Well our first game was Heretic TS, our most struggled gametype for some dumb reason. Well they had ended up beating us 50-48 and were so crunk. They kept talking trash to us and calling us bad but we laughed it off because we knew we might lose that game. We bounced back for game 2 3-0'ing them on Narrows flag in under 4 minutes. They had less then 5 kills each. LMAO! So on to WR4.

We matched You're a Jerk. concisting of Eli ze ninja(The pro), ReZZo, GoldenBoy and Krew. I think they held 8th seed with over 1000 points. We weren't nervous but knew we had to play tough against these guys. We completely dominated them 50-34 on Construct TS and then 3-1'd them on Pit Flag. I never stopped talking trash in games. But of course once we won I immediately walked over to their side showing I was a great sport and said GG's and good luck to them. I also said don't worry about the trash talk it's just in game intimidation. Anyways, on to WR5, my second event in a row to make. this is where our journey ended in MLG Dallas against BiB, one round away from top 28, and then lost in Losers round 8(LR8) Where we had another chance to break out against Remedy. Well that was with a new team and this time was no excuses. We noticed that we might have to play Armaggedon in WR5 but then were upset 2-1 by Merciless....not sure who they were but we sat down to play them next.

Merciless consisted of Laquatus, Superhyphy, Sqeeks and Hybrid....Most of them old Halo 2 pros...so we knew they had experience. Game 1 was Pit TS and we had beaten them 50-39. Game 2 was Narrows CTF and we were up 2-1 and when Gab was running the flag to our cap point I remember standing on it in case he died but he didnt and once he capped it I jumped up all CRUNK because we had just become semi-pro. We broke out of Amatuer bracket through Winners. Rape. We didn't have a break so we had to play another round for Championship bracket placement.

We matched Gimme My Money, who had upset DbA (Driven by Adrenaline), the 2nd seed. These guys must be good. So we get ready to play and we could'nt connect so we had lost 2-0. Ugh that sucks. the whole day not dropping a game and this happens. BOO! Well the loss didn't matter, it was just for seeding so we ended up with the 24th seed in the Pro bracket.

24th, 8 away from pro. Sick. We finally got a break and had to play in an hour and we weren't sure who against. We were in Championship bracket round 2 so we had to wait for one to finish. Once it did we heard HydRa vs Power.

Power? Who's power?

Power is the UK team. They are the best in all of Eurpope and had finally arrived to an MLG event to see how they do against other top pros in the world and let me tell you one thing:

THEY BROUGHT IT

They were so unstoppable throught Saturday, honestly. We got 3-0'd in our best of 5 series. They're individual skill hadn't stuck out to me but their teamwork was absolutely dominating. We do have a tiny excuse.....while we practiced for the 4 or so weeks before Anaheim and only played AM gametypes....NOT ONE pro gametype. We knew we would make it out of AM but we wanted to make sure. So we didn't know any strats besides our basic knowledge on pro gametypes. Our mistakes. Oh well they'll be fixed. They 3-0'd us and I quickly congradulated them telling them they will go far. Well we were finally knocked out of the event. We head to consolation matches now where we play for the 25th-28th place. I wanted top 20 but I'm grateful with this for what we practiced.

Our first consolation match was against Second nature. That Consisted of DGK Acid and Effin Ninja....not sure about the other tow but yea....Effin Ninja, the 2nd biggest online warrior I know. Well he showed up. He actually did pretty good on LAN which I've never seen. He placed 5th round at Columbus which was embarrassing but he did better here. They 3-0'd us. WTF is up with us??? That's 8 losses in a row!! Man were we in a slump or what?!? lol. Well I went over to congradulate him. He knew who I was of course but I told him he did grat throughout the series. I was impressed. I guess I won't call him warrior anymore seeing that he 3-0'd us. In all honesty I still think I'm better then him but we got 3-0'd so at the moment he's better. No excuses, it was LAN. I'm not sure what we were doing wrong, we just weren't alive I guess lol. the only cheap and gay thing when I think of that match is that Effin Ninja's team was only 11th seed because they used the pro "Wooly"s points which were a ton of course. They might have not even made it that far and probably had an easy bracket but once again, they 3-0'd us. Our fault. GG's.

So now that we lost placement 1 we went to placement two which was our final match at Anaheim. This was for 27th-28th place. We obviously wanted 27th. We faced the 6th seeded AMPED. Which had pitbull, Jordan, Minority and Aptix or something. Well it was best of 5 and ReZZo was coaching them...we didn't have a coach. Oh well. We played them again in gametypes we've never played together. We lost 5-1 on Midship flag and then 50-46 on Narrows slayer. CRAP! 10 games in a row we've lost! I was so embarrassed because it made it look like we didn't deserve our place. But we did and knew we did so we stepped it up and beat them 250-100 on Midship ball, 50-35 on Pit slayer and 250-130 on Construct king. We were down 2 games to none and won three straight to earn our placing.

27th place at MLG Anaheim.

Gab and I had recently left Windy and Leggo to team up with Rabbit and Garbo. They had placed 24th in the Dallas 08 playoffs. Rabbit has an impressive resume by placing 3rd in the Rainbow 6 events twice, and then placing 1st in Rainbow 6 Vegas in Chicago. Congrats to them and wish us luck at Anaheim!!!

Whatsup everyone. I'm just now making this blog of my MLG Dallas event which was August 28-30th. Yea, almost 3 months ago lol....let's just say I've been busy. Oh well better late then never I guess.

Here we go.

I took that thursday and friday off of work to just have fun for the MLG weekend. I live in Dallas of course so the event is around 15 miles away from me, fortunately. So I hit up my friend Exile and he says he's already at the hotel (this is on Wednesday), so I go home, clean up, and head up to the Hilton Anatole. This is the Hilton's 3rd year to host MLG Dallas. When I get up there I already see numerous halo players and it's cool to see it happening again. Well I get to Ex's room and see my old MLG Dallas 08 team: Exile, Glitch and Kyosai, with their team and friends.

They wondered who I was playing for but then remembered that I had quit Halo in late July. They thought it was so stupid because I live in Dallas nect to the event lol, oops. Well they are all in their room just splitscreening 1v1's and other stuff. They kept pressuring me to play and I REALLY wanted to, but I knew if I picked up the sticks then I'd wanna play at Dallas lol. Well I actually 1v1'd Kyosai and beat him I think 15-7. Wow wtf. Then I played Glitch and he beat me I think 15-12.....I lost! lol oh well.

Once I finished playing I immediately thought oh my god what did I do....I quit before my hometown event I'm sooooo F'ing dumb. Well I wanted to play, hands down. I told my friends to spread the word I wanted to play....Really. I went home and Thursday I headed back up there to meet up with most people I know from old events because Thursday is generally the day MLG players get to events. I'm walking around for maybe 14 hours that day lol but I have a blast seeing and meeting new people who I know or some who even know me but I have no clue who they are lol. Of course no xbox live thug confronts me....it's real life, they threaten online but not in real life, funny right? lol.

Anyways I don't game at all until I get a text from a kid I knew on XBL but have never met. His name is Leggo. I've played him in 1v1's before but never anything else. He lives in Houston. Anyways, he texts me saying hey we need a 4th...and I was like NO WAY! niceeeee. Well he ends up telling me he needs a 4th just to sub in at a local LAN in the hotel. I agree but tell them I hadn't played in over a month and will be way off. He's cool with it.

So he meets me in the hotel and introduces me to his team. A tall white kid named WINDY and a short latino homeboy named Gab :-), they seem cool and we head up to play. OMG I was soooo rusty lol but I think we beat the other team 7 games to none. I wanted to play in the event sooooo badly tomorrow and I really impressed the guys by how well I played since I hadn't played in a month. Well their 4th lives in Florida and wouldn't arrive until Friday morning. Well leggo and the team REALLY wanted me on their team instead of the other guy (timo). We all knew I was way better then this kid who they just joined for the pass lol. So Timo said he's still coming so I just hang out then go home. Friday morning Leggo callas me during sign-in and says "dude you gotta get up here we're putting you on our team instead of timo". I was so psyched, I got up and went. When we got there we lined up to talk to Anakin(the commissioner) and he said that I cannot sub in for the team leader which was timo....Crap. They told us the only way I could join the team is to buy a whole new pass. Lucky for us there was one for sell. We threw up 240$ then and there for the pass. I was going to play at Dallas!

When we finished the sign in guess who had JUST arrived?? TIMO! andddd his dad. Great...so they discuss it over with timo and his dad and I'm away from the group because it's awkward and Timo's heard of me and inside knows I'm better bu finally ends up saying if Timo out places us then don't get mad. I laughed so hard!!! Also he had been talking bad about me saying he wanted to push me down some stairs LMAO!!! this kid is like 5'2, 16 yrs old, 110 lbs. LMAO! Anyways on to warm-ups! Which I desperately needed. Our first game in warm-ups was ironically against my good friends team Nexttogodly. We lose, and move on to another station. We ended up goind 3-2 in warm-ups, simply because I was sooo off and we were a new and LITERALLY last minute team. We go grab a bite to eat and the tournament begins.

We called ourselves GreatnesS....why? Idk! Well Winners bracket round 1(WBR1) is Called. We are the 165th seeded team. 165 out of around 250. Our first round is against the 92nd seed Limit Breakers. Windy immediately said "crap I've heard of them and their decent". No worries....we 2-0'd them and were crunk, simply because I was happy to be on a team. On to winners round 2, the biggest round on Friday simply because tons of good teams lose in it...We're called and match up against the 37th seeded team: 99 Problems. These guys won the online circuit for Dallas and are a known team. The best in Puerto Rico to be exact. We're semi-nervous but then laughed it off because they had team shirts with best buy on it. We played and lost the first game, crap! But we stepped it up and 3-0'd them on flag in a few minutes and took them easily on the TS game and won 2-1 in the series. HOLY CRAP we're actually doing decent! I'm still not even fully warmed up to play halo yet. We're done for the day. WBR3 doesn't start til 11am on Saturday. I run home to grab clothes then come back, the sucky thing is that we didn't get to practice at ALL that night...we only talked about starts and what not....that blows!

Saturday. Game day. We wake up and get ready I'm always the first one up and ready. One thing that we didn't do and trust me when I say this: EAT BREAKFAST!!! Anyways, we get in the venue to get warmed up, I don't remember why but we only had time for one warm-up game...and we played against Calm mentality's team and lost by 2 on Pit. We were actually impressed we did that well on one game against semi's. So WBR3 is called and we match the 28th seeded American Havok. We didn't know who was on it but 28th seed has to have someone with points so we end up finding out it's Obiee's team...Pretty good team I'm sure. Also we had looked at the brackets ahead and saw that if we beat American Havok then we would most likely play Escape the Fate which consists of: Omega, Insaiyan, Phathole, and Nightmare....all great semi's. We were ready to play them but had to play this team first. The first game was Narrows TS, my worst Gametype. We play and it ends up neck and neck with us leading 49-48. We all decide to stay back and post up. Leggo had found a snipe and he was hot with it so we waited for him to finish it. Meanwhile I was on L1, and gab was on our right Rabbit. Not sure where Windy was but Leggo picked up snipe and started the search. He went from our snipe towards our cannon and someone on their cannon saw him and called him out, so he went to our Lobby and I had told him not to go to our right attic because thats the predictable spot and they might have snipe...well he still went and got sniped once but got away..He then headed towards top mid to see if he could find someone and their sniper ended up hitting him once. He started running back and one of them had thrown two nades and ended up getting him. Crap Leggo...49-49. We were still posted and noticed rockets were about to spawn. We were all still in our spots and Leggo came to bottom mid. Once rockets spawned he started to go for them and I noticed they had a snipe at their bottom mid, it was Obiee. As leggo went for rocks I yelled three times SNIPE THEIR CANNON WATCH OUT! and Leggo was shot at but Obiee missed twice, choke. So Leggo and I both team shotted him and he ran off and I made the quickest decision to run for rocks and as I got them I saw one of the other team drop their L2 and I quickly rocketed him twice to get the kill and won 50-49. OMFG were we CRUNK!!! Leggo scared us and he wouldn't make the same mistake again. Anyways, we went to game 2 and it was pit flag, my Fav game. While we were up 2-0 on caps, the team next to us just jumped up screaming OMG GET RAPED!!! what happened?!?! A team had beaten Escape the Fate in the series....holy crap who are these guys? Anyways, we finished and won 3-1 in flags and the series 2-0. We were sooo relieved.

So who were these dudes that beat the team who we thought would easily win? Reality Check. The 60th seeded team. They beat Escape the Fate, the 5th seeded team. We found out it was Suddoth 1, Suddoth 1, Distress, and penguins BR...We were sort of nervous because that's who we have to play next round. WBR4 was called, us vs reality check. Game 1 was pit slayer and ALL they did was rush and we weren;t used to it. We got scared and lost game 1 50-40. Crap, is this it? Are we done? Game two was Narrows flag. We 3-0'd them SOOOO fast and were on a streak. Game 3 was Construct TS. I like this gametype. We start playing and IMMEDIATELY get up a good amount. We get up around 36-27 and then I grab the snipe. It was on. I dome sooo many people and ended up getting a killing frenzy on that team in a tough round and we won 50-38. I couldn't stop smiling. I went clutch when we needed it and I exploded. It's about time! I ended up going +10 and know I had at least 10 snipe kills lol maybe 5 domes. So we 2-1'd them in the series. On to WBR5, I've never been there lol. I always had to work my way through losers.

WBR5, at this time, EVERYONE was wondering, Who the F is GreatnesS??? We had been the talk of AM at the moment I'm sure. We had also just realized this is AM's last round. Winning this and we'd get top 28 GUARANTEED. Top 28 with a last second team? That's be too insane! Well they announce the next round and it's us Vs Bigger is Better. Never heard of them. Turns out its a team who won the Call of Duty nationals....what does that mean to me? that they must have sick team work. Well it's round 5 so that's when we move to Full screen. Let me tell you, if you don't warmup from split to full then it will affect you. It did to us. We ended up losing the series 2-0, but the scores were 50-43 and 3-1 in flags. that took us down soooo much, we just weren't crunk and lost it.

We drop to losers round 8. This is the Losers finals. Winning this would put us top 32. Still great. We match Remedy. I know their individual skill wasn't great at all but they had teamed for years....Kind of nervous. Well, we lost. 50-45 and 2-0 in flags. Embarrassing, well I guess not because they were a semi pro team....either way, we were all off. Maybe it was the full screen, maybe it was finally our time to lose. Either way, what an event.

We ended up placing top 40. We received 6 points each which are better then 0 points lol. Later the bracket people said we placed 34th, great.

We were finally out. We hung out with friends and agreed to practice and stay a team for Anaheim, the next event.
