Map Control in Team Slayer

![]() Find that setup! In Team Slayer, unlike any of the other objective game types, you’re only trying to kill the other team. This means that your map control strategies do not necessarily have to shift. While they will certainly break apart if they do not take power items in to consideration, they can be much more rigid than in other game types.
Any dominant map strategy involves controlling power-items, such as the overshield.
As definitive map control strategies arise, we will be sure to update them in both text and video form here, so always check back. Playing Team Slayer is probably the easiest way for a team to work on developing dominant map control strategies because of its singular focus. Don’t be afraid to go into games with a team just to work on testing new strategies, even if it results in a loss. The team with a larger knowledge base will be much more prepared when it truly counts. |
