Timing Weapons & Items in Oddball

While weapon and power-up timing is something that must always be considered, the addition of the ball does change one thing: consider what weapons you want the ball carrier to have. Equipping them with invisibility will make it harder for the enemy to shoot and giving them a close-range weapon will allow survival when the enemies come for the final blow. You also need to remember, that it may be a waste giving them a power weapon that would be more useful in a defenders possession, seeing as how the ball carriers main job is to avoid approaching enemies.
Maintaining weapon control can give you the advantage in any situation.
