Help me! Support players do a little bit of everything. While they may end up with the most flag captures, they may also end up with the most kills. Supporting your teammates means stepping into fights where it’s needed and not stepping on toes. If you know that you are not the first option to grab the sniper rifle, don’t grab it! A strong support player enjoys using the battle rifle above all else. Here are some traits of a successful support player:

Team Shooter--Support players add crossfire all the time. Because they tend to wield a Battle Rifle or Carbine for most of the game, they often fire the most shots throughout the game. Incredible awareness of your team’s positions and appropriate adjustment to them is necessary at all times.

A great support player will be mindful of all of his or her teammates' actions.
Communicator-- The support players will provide vital information to the main slayer and objective player in order for them to maximize their performance. A support player will typically have a penchant for talking and won’t let up throughout an entire game. If you find your mouth dry and tired at the end of the game, it's likely you've done a good job.

Encouraging-- Support players are in the thick of the action and have an eye for a teammate's nice plays. A loud voice and a nice disposition are necessary traits of a good support player. As a support player, you'll assume more of a leadership role. This is because you'll usually have more of an idea of where everyone is on the map compared to your other teammates.

Ultimately, the support player is the Jack of All Trades. You’ll pick up the ball if you must, or take down some enemies with the sniper. You have to be comfortable making the decisions of both objective and main slayer while recognizing that you’re in a middle position by default.
