Finding a Competitive Team

![]() It’s 7PM, time to get online! Finding teammates requires dedication. How many nights a week can you get online? Do you plan to participate in live events, or just online? Once you know what type of player you are looking to be, use these pointers to find a team that suits you: 1. Find teammates who want to practice and make sure you can free up your schedules at the same time. If you have even one squadmate that can’t make it online when the rest of your can, it’s not going to work! 2. Hit up the MLG Customs, Scrims and LANs forum to link up with like-minded individuals. Once you become active in the scrimmage community, you’ll meet players of similar skill levels and form a team naturally.
Look no further than the MLG Customs forum to find some consistent practice opponents.
3. When you find the right teammates AND the right opponents, stick with them. Once you have a team ready to practice, try to stick with them if the chemistry is there. Likewise, if you find a consistent practice opponent, try to set up weekly customs. Consistency is key to steady improvement. 4. Be patient. You’re not going to play pro teams right away and you don’t want to, they’ll mop the floor with you! If you stay active in the MLG customs community, your team will start to improve and eventually you’ll find yourself playing increasingly better opponents. |
