Teching and Wall Teching

![]() Teching refers to the instant recovery after being knocked to the ground from an attack. Without teching, your character will fall to the ground and bounce, leaving you open to an attack. Teching voids this animation from happening and allows your character to instantly roll or get up. To tech, simply press L or R just before hitting the ground. Holding the control stick left or right controls the direction of the tech. Wall teching is the same concept. When your character is about to hit a wall, simply press the L or R-trigger. This will cause your character to lose all momentum and stop for a brief moment on the wall. Pressing away from the wall on the control stick while pressing the L or R-trigger will cause your character to stop then jump. Hyrule Temple and Shadow Moses Island are effective stages to practice these techniques because of their enclosures. |
