![]() Mortar sliding is one of the most difficult moves to perform in Brawl, but can be mastered with steady practice. There are generally two types of mortar sliding: the first, where you hit the opponent, and the second, where there is no connection with the opponent. Mortar sliding is when Snake performs his dash attack, and then cancels it into his U-Smash (the mortar attack). This causes Snake to perform a sliding mortar attack, hence the term. Mortar Sliding (no contact): The easiest way to mortar slide without hitting the opponent is by performing a dash attack. This is done by pressing forward on the control stick, and then down on the C-stick. Immediately after pressing down on the C-stick, flick it upwards and press the Z-button simultaneously. Mortar Sliding (contact): If Snakes dash attack connects with the opponent, then immediately flick up on the C-stick. This upwards flick will make Snake perform the mortar slide. |
