Grenade Cooking

 Holding a grenade before throwing it is known as “cooking” a grenade. Since grenades explode five seconds after first pressing B, immediately throwing them is not always the best option. Cooking a grenade for a few seconds before throwing will sometimes allow you to hit an approaching opponent. While cooking a grenade, Snake is free to walk forward or backwards and even jump. However, Snake cannot perform any attacks while holding the grenade, so make sure to throw it if the opponent gets to close. If the opponent does manage to get close to you and there doesn’t appear to be time to throw the grenade, just put your shield up and Snake will drop the grenade and shield the explosion. |
