MLG Dallas Halo 3 Wrap Up

 Championship Bracket RecapIn the second round of Winners Bracket play, the fans once again witnessed an upset. Final Boss managed to defeat second seeded Triggers Down in an amazing five game series. Str8 Rippin, on the other hand, made quick work of Classic, defeating them in four games. The Winners Bracket Final match was set, and fans filled the stands to catch a glimpse of the carnage that was about to ensue. 
The fans at Dallas had a blast.
Str8 Rippin continued their spree of domination that had seemingly carried over from the last tournament, taking the Winners Bracket finals 3-0 over Final Boss. At this point Str8 Rippin looked unstoppable. As the only team remaining in the Winners Bracket, they had assured themselves a Top 2 finish, only dropping one game up to this point. All that was left was to sit back, relax, and watch as the remaining teams fought it out in the Losers Bracket. Losers Bracket Round 2 brought us two amazing five-game-series. Triggers Down outlasted Instinct in a series in which almost every single game came down to the wire. Both teams knew that a loss would end their run, and neither team wanted to stop there.In game five Triggers Down defeated Instinct, disregarding the immense effort put forward by Soviet, who obtained nearly half of his team’s kills. In the other LBR2 match, the Ambush vs. Classic series was quite different. Almost none of the games were close, yet each one seemed to be dominated by a different team. In the end, Ambush was able to grab a firm lead in the fifth and deciding game, and ride that lead to victory. |
