King Dedede's Projectiles

![]() King Dedede’s Side-B move throws one of three types of projectiles. Each type of projectile has a different property and only two can exist at the same time. If two are on the field and a third is thrown, the oldest one currently on the stage will automatically disappear. Waddle Dees and Waddle Doos, aside from being projectiles, will remain on the stage and walk around. While on the stage they will sometimes perform attacks and are also good for running interference against the opponent’s projectiles. Waddle Dees cause 5% damage and remain on the stage for 15 seconds before disappearing. On stages with edges they may walk off and suicide themselves. Waddle Dees may also jump or trip after being thrown, if a Waddle Dee jumps at the opponent it will cause 8% damage. Waddle Dees are the most common projectiles formed from the Side-B move. Waddle Doos cause 7% damage and remain on the stage for 15 seconds before disappearing. Waddle Doos, like Waddle Dees, may also walk off the edge of stages and suicide themselves. Waddle Doos give off an electric attack every few seconds, the duration between attacks is variable but will usually be two or three seconds. Waddle Doos are less common than Waddle Dees but still appear relatively frequently. Gordos cause 20% damage and will disappear upon collision with the opponent, an object, or the ground after one bounce. They are one of the strongest projectiles in the game and can KO opponents in the lower 100% range. Gordos are the rarest of the projectiles King Dedede can throw; it is likely only one or two will appear a match. |
