R6V2 Winners Round 1 Wrap Up

 This is the moment Rainbow Six fans have been waiting all season for - Vegas in Vegas. The very first round of the 2008 Rainbow Six Vegas 2 National Championships have just come to a close, and the results are in. The top two ranked teams, MoB Lost Cause and MoB Rage, received a bye in the first round, automatically placing them into Winners Bracket Round 2 of the National Championship Bracket. Elsewhere in the venue, Rewritten and Dynasty LANslaughter went head to head, as well as Iconz and Instill Fear. Both teams were fighting for the right to move on to Winners Bracket Round 2, where they'll take on this year's teams to beat, Lost Cause and Rage. As expected, Iconz went on to breeze through Instill Fear by a decisive 3-0 margin. From Killhouse Conquest, to Convention Center Attack & Defend, and eventually Presidio Conquest, Iconz used their immense amount of preparation to flawlessly defeat their lower seeded opponents. Iconz will now move on to Winners Bracket Round two, where they'll be pitted against the ultra-dominant, MoB Lost Cause. In the other first round match of the competition between Rewritten and Dynasty LANslaughter, the higher seed once again reigned supreme as Rewritten sent their opponents to the Losers Bracket by a score of 3-1. Although it was a much closer contested bout than the previous, Rewritten clearly demonstrated why they're considered the more dominant team. With the win, Rewritten is headed into Winners Bracket Round 2 against MoB Rage, meanwhile Dynasty LANslaughter is headed to the Losers Bracket to await their next opponent.
