R6V2 Winners Finals and Losers Semis Wrap Up

 In what would be the final matches of Saturday night, MoB Rage squared up with Iconz in the Winners Bracket Finals. Community favorites, Lost Cause, also went to war Instill Fear in the Losers Backet Semi Finals. The two matches took place simultaneously, and would ultimately determine the final two matches that we'll be seeing on Sunday. For Lost Cause and Instill Fear, it was do or die. Both teams had been sent to the Losers Bracket earlier in the day. Which meant every match thereafter could potentially be the last of their 2008 season. Instill fear jumped to the early lead in the match 1-0. However, by using the host of Phobia to leverage an advantage, Lost Cause went on to win two consecutive maps to take the 2-1 lead. Unfortunately for our number one seed, Instill would immediately replicate the feat, giving them the clutch 3-2 win, and send the number one ranked team home with a fourth place finish. For MoB Rage and Iconz, the situation wasnt quite as dire. Both teams had executed great matches all throughout the day, and had set themselves up in an ideal position for a great placing. Once again, Iconz jumped to an early 2-0 lead, as they've done repeatedly, throughout the tournament. Their extremely strong play has turned heads all throughout the tournament, and they showed no sign of slowing down - until game 3, where Rage began their miraculous comeback. Map, after map, after map, MoB Rage came back to win the match by a 3-2 margin. The win has granted them exclusive access to the National Championship Finals. Iconz is now headed down to the Losers Bracket Finals to take on Instill Fear. Tune in tomorrow to watch the Losers Bracket Finals and Finals of the Rainbow Six Vegas competition.
