Recovering with Kirby

![]() Kirby is one of the characters in Brawl that has a multiple jump recovery. Kirby, because of this multiple jumps and small size, is capable of avoiding most edge-guarding tactics with high efficiency by simply recovering above the stage and out of reach. The general recovery procedure for Kirby is as follows: 1. Use his jumps, all five of them, as needed 2. Use his Up-B Other facets to recovering with Kirby could be used to help him survive longer, here are some suggestions: • Use your Side-B or F-Air between jumps to interrupt edge guarders and create space for your recovery • Try recovering low to save as many jumps as you can and to make the best use of your Up-B, which is mostly a vertical recovery. • The Side-B gives a very slight boost to recovering horizontally. It can be helpful in some situations to use the move both to keep space between the opponent and Kirby but also to save a jump. • Kirby’s D-Air is a meteor Smash (spike), if an opponent won’t stay away it may be possible to get a low-percentage KO by catching them off guard with this move. • Recovering high is usually Kirby’s best option because of his air attacks and, like any character, the multiple air dodge system. |
