Major League Gaming is packing up and heading out to Anaheim this weekend for one of the most important Gears of War 2 stops on the 2009 Pro Circuit. With only two stops left in the season, this weekend will put the best Gears of War 2 teams in the world through an onslaught of challenges for that championship title.
The Dallas champions have not let up as they head into Anaheim on fire.
As if the team standings couldn’t be any closer, it seems that The Business and AmazYn will be fighting even harder in Anaheim. AmazYn is again one of the few teams to without a roster change, and this should continue to work in their favor. Continuing their practice routine through the end of the summer and into the fall, AmazYn can still be regarded one of the hardest working teams in this game. Despite a recent move from their prior training location, they are still on track to put together a repeat of Dallas. Arctic and his brother Orange are not players to be overlooked, as they still hold the key to this team in the form of leadership through every series they play. AmazYn should be able to take advantage of their first round of play while keeping an eye on Raw Talent. Coming with a completely different approach, MbN: The Business will be heading to the West Coast with former Raw Talent member NJ Cubano, recently released from his previous team. Replacing HighDistortion with Cubano may have been the move that MbN needed to pull following their Dallas performance. Playing rather well through the tournament, they seemed to lose steam against AmazYn halfway through their series. With Cubano now at their disposal, The Business should be able to play a more fierce game as they will try to take chances for that championship. Opening up against Less Than Zero should give MbN the time to get that spark ignited, as it will be the first round of MLG competition that they play with Cubano. |
