MLG: Anaheim is just a few days away. You guys are coming off of possibly your best tournament ever. How pumped up is TD for Anaheim? Hysteria: We feel like in Dallas we finally figured out how to play as a great team. We all LAN'ed at my house this last weekend, and all seemed to be playing our best, going 55-0 against local pros. We're pumped and confident that Anaheim will be the tournament everyone sees the best TD they have seen yet. MLG: You mentioned LAN'ing against some locals this weekend. Was that your only LAN between Dallas and Anaheim? Hysteria: Yes it was. We were supposed to LAN against Relapse, but two of their players decided to not tell us they weren't going to come. We ended up playing against Max and Loki from their team, and then had locals like Tetra Shot and ArtofWar sub in. MLG: Do you believe that LAN was enough practice heading into the event? Do you guys feel adequately prepared? Hysteria We all felt like it was a big help. We definitely see improvements in our game, especially on Heretic. MLG: Speaking of Heretic, all of the players on TD were pretty solid at Halo 2. What are your thoughts on the new map? Hysteria: Well, it's somewhat similar to Midship, but you can't play it exactly the same. I think all of the gametypes on it are a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to playing it in a tourney. MLG: Do you think the addition of Heretic benefits some teams more than others? Do you foresee a team like Status Quo, who isn't as familiar with the map, struggling with it at all? Hysteria: I don't think that it will make that much of a difference. As long as teams played it a bunch since it was released and tried to learn what works and what doesn't, they should be fine. MLG: Is the back-to-back Halo 3 event championship curse real? Are you guys finally going to break it in Anaheim? Interview continues on page 2> |
