Timeout With Hysteria

Hysteria: It's not a curse at all. Every team that wins an event has a chance to win the next, but they have to prepare just as much as before. We're all confident that we can win Anaheim and we WILL break the "curse." MLG: Who's TD's number one threat heading into Anaheim? Hysteria: I don't think there's one team we're focusing on. We've learned not to look past any teams. MLG: Even though Triggers Down is currently the number one team on the Pro Circuit, you guys don't exactly have the fan support of some of the other top teams? Why do you think that is, and is that something that bothers you at all? Hysteria: I think that a lot of people have players that they like, and that they follow them. No matter what team they're on, they'll root for that squad. Since most of our team didn't get very popular until Halo 3, we don't have the big names that get us the fans. It doesn't bother us, but more fans is never a bad thing and we have a feeling that Anaheim may be the event where the TD fans show up. MLG: You personally seem to have a bad rep in a portion of the community as being a poor sport and having a bad attitude. Is that something you'd like to address? Hysteria: Well, I think people get most of their opinions of me from other people, which isn't fair at all. There's too much of the "I heard Hysteria did this" playground gossip. The people who know me or are friends with me know the full story behind things and know that all these "terrible" things I've apparently done are not true. If more people were open to the idea that a person can change, I don't think my rep would be as bad. MLG: Carbon shocked the MLG world in Dallas and ended up finishing in second; Was that a fluke or are they for real? Hysteria: I don't think that their performance was a fluke, but I really don't see them playing any better then they did. MLG: Because that would mean they'd have to beat you guys, right? Hysteria: Well, if they couldn't beat us at Dallas when they were playing their best, there's no chance of beating us in Anaheim when we're all playing our best. MLG: Out of the teams that made roster changes heading into Anaheim, which do you feel has improved the most? Hysteria: I don't really know who will show up and be the best out of them, but I don't see any of the teams that made changes as a huge threat. MLG: We all know things are going great for you on the Pro Circuit. Give us a quick update on what's going on in your life outside of MLG. Are you going to be heading off to college soon? Hysteria: Well, I started my senior year of high school right after Dallas, which is going pretty well. Nothing really crazy going on besides that, and I'm excited to almost be done with school. MLG: Are you looking forward to Modern Warfare 2 at all? Hysteria: Yeah I am, and it's coming out at a perfect time being right after an event. I loved the first game and this one looks even better. MLG: Will we find you spectating some of the Call of Duty 4 Finals this weekend? Hysteria: I might check it out. I haven't played CoD4 in a while since I've been busy with Halo 3 and waiting for MW2. MLG: Well Hysteria, that'll do it. Thanks for joining us, and good luck in Anaheim. Is there anything else you'd like to say before we go? Hysteria: I'd like to thank the fans that have stuck with us through a sea of TD haters and give a shout out to Heather. MLG: There you have it folks. We'll see if Hysteria and the rest of Triggers Down can defend their title this weekend, as Anaheim gets underway Friday, November 6th. See you there! |
