![]() The Old Spice Rising Star Award is back for 2009, and the season-long race for the prize will continue this weekend in Anaheim! Granted to the player who does the most over the course of a Pro Circuit season to elevate their prominence and stature in the pro gaming community, the Old Spice Rising Star Award is a monumental achievement to accomplish. There have been three Old Spice Rising Star Featured Contenders thus far in 2009, and once MLG Anaheim is in the books, we’ll have a fourth. We sat down with members of Instinct in order to get an insiders’ take on who could end up being an Old Spice Rising Star Featured Contender at this weekend’s event in Anaheim. When asked about who he thought could make a splash in the standings, Lunchbox said, "I think that Enable has a lot of potential to do well in Anaheim. His team, Dynasty, is coming into the event well-practiced and are hot off of an 8th place finish.” We also contacted Roy to find out who he’s expecting to show up in Anaheim in a big way. He said, “I would have to say Max Pro. I watched this last tournament and he was playing really well. His snipe is crazy good!” His team, Relapse, will head into Anaheim with the 14th seed. Max/Pro’s first match-up of the event will be against Final Boss, and look for him to play a crucial role in their success. Don’t miss your opportunity to tune in all weekend long as hundreds of up-and-coming players will fight it out for the chance to be named the Anaheim Old Spice Featured Contender!
