So who is ready to play some Half Life 2 and other mods from good ole Valve. Personally I think the games Valve has out right now (even though they are only out for PC) are better than anything Epic or Bungie already have out or what is going to come out. The story line that Half Life 1 & 2 have is way better than Gears of War for sure since that game didn't really give you much of one and better than the Halo series. Even though people say you shouldn't compare PC games with Console ones, I'm gonna be the guy that does. I believe Counter Strike: 1.6 and Source to be way better than halo 1 and 2. Even though counter strike 1.6 and source are the same game except one having updated graphics. (I just wish valve would come out with Counter Strike Source for the 360 even though it was made for a keyboard and mouse.) The competitive nature of Counter Strike easily out classes that of Halo 1&2 and GoW. Just look how long the game has been going on in www.************* There have been tournaments all over the world for counter strike. Enough of CS i know so ill stop talking about counter strike. But im pumped up for is Team Fortress 2. Now i come from a background of mostly PC gaming even though i was there for the release date of halo 1&2 and GoW and played the hell out of those titles. Team Fortress 2 is gonna be the biggest suprise to everyone when it comes to competitive play. I could be mistaken but the MLG community it made up of mostly people who play the halo series, and so all of those are just waiting for Halo 3 to come out and could careless for anything else. Just look how many successfuly titles Valve put out compared to Bungie & Epic. Bungie really only has 2 so far and third one coming when halo 3 comes out. Epic has quite a few due to the Unreal Tournament series which is been out for awhile now. As a game ill stick by Valve as my number one choice but ill play others as well. Right now I currently play Gears of War but once other games start to come out gears of war is gonna start to get dusty. Hopefully MLG picks up Team Fortress 2 when it comes out.

By the time Team Fortress 2 comes to the 360, I believe Halo 3 will already be out. I think Valve said they're looking at a holiday release for the 360 HL games. I will def pick them up though. TF2 is going to just rock. Hopefully it does not get dumbed down just because it's on console.

I wonder why they have not released a CS source version for the 360?

They are probably waiting to release everything at once. Valve has been known to do that before.

I'm interested if they are going to come out with a new PC version that you'll be able to play over Vista Live.

If so, do you think MLG is going to allow the PC gamers to compete in a mixed-platform tournament?

I am actually extremely disappointed with valve. All I wanted was a new counterstrike and instead they give me five games in one, and I don't want any of them. Halo 3 will be too good to be messing around with valves stuff.

"messing around with valves stuff"? have you played half-life 1 or 2?

Yeah seriously, both HL games are completely unique experiences and offer far more than Halo in terms of singleplayer. They're both more immserive and more thought-provoking. (Protip: "thought-provoking" doesn't mean "I'm going to reference a Halo novel in order to discredit some random forum post about realism in a game".)

As a side note, I enjoyed HL1 a lot more than HL2. The whole game was, in my opinion, a more visceral and immersive experience, and had a suberb sense of urgency, compared to the "I'm Gordon Freeman and ready to kick ass" attitude the sequel carried itself with at times.

I'd have to agree, that Half Life 1 was more indepth in its gameplay then half life 2. Personally I'll enjoy any of valves games for the 360 just as much on the PC, granted they may get abit out shined by halo 3, I'm sure in the end it will end up being solid game play and grow a fairly big fanbase like with all of there releases. Also regarding Valve releases to the Xbox/360, Counterstrike is out for it (Classic Xbox), granted in my opinion its abit..I dunno exactly how to put it, but maybe lacking? I dunno, maybe its just because I play CS on PC more.
