http://***********/images/fear.jpg (http://www.whatisfear.com/)The CPL released today the format for the 2007 CPL World Tour for F.E.A.R. (FEAR) for the Xbox 360.
The CPL will be using the following settings for FEAR:
Gametype: Deathmatch
Players: 1v1
Run Speed: 1.4
Weapon Restrictions: MP50 Cannon, Type 7, Rocket Launcher, Proximity Mines, Remote Mines DISABLED
Match Time: 15 minutes
Overtime: 5 minutes
The opening event for the 2007 CPL World Tour will take place in Verona, Italy from May 11-13, 2007.


Well it looks like CPL is treading in console territory,but fear,really.I play fear for PC.Infact I just got done playin some multiplayer.I have yet to play the 360 ver.Is it really that good for competitive play.

If I remember correctly, Sierra bought CPL and that's why they now play mostly (only?) Sierra's games. I guess this is their way to sell more games.

I haven't even tested F.E.A.R. on any plaftform so I can't say anything about it's competitive value in my opinion, but I'm pretty sure there'd be better options than F.E.A.R.

No. FEAR is terrible. There's maybe one gun in the entire MP set that takes valid skill. It's a 3-shot burst gun that only has about 6 shots to the gun before you have to reload. What most players use and what you will probably see being used at CPL is the noobie full-auto G2 Assault Rifle. It's pathetic really. It's a game with some potential when I rented it but when everyone uses that gun and that's about the only thing you can use to defend against others...it's stupid and repetitive and boring. No clue why CPL picked it up other than falling into a corporate sponsorship spell.

FEAR in my opinion is ok itsn nothing crazy but when ur tired of playing H2 its cool!

yeah,Ive been playing the MP on PC for like 2 days now.Its a fun game but I honestly dont think its the best thing for cometitive play.

And yeah,Sierra is just a major sponsor,they didnt buy them.

Fear multiplayers is not bad....and it's not like you can just walking around with the AR and go on a 20 man kill spree...the guns take skill. I liked playing it on a faster speed.

They have it set up as a 1v1, plus there's no weapons to pick up on the maps...so there's no weapon control. What the fck do you think they're going to choose? The AR of course. my gosh..get your head out of your ass. FEAR is a friggin joke.
