1. how is it hard to folllow? red vs blue. that is all they need to know and that seems pretty easy to follow to me. like in sports ppl have the same color jersey. if ur talking about tv purposes, does mlg give a breif run down on whos who and whats going on. in matter of fact it could be easier cuz if u see 1 person as an elite and everybody else as spartan then the elite would more likely be remembered as so and so then the other 7 spartans.

2. so theyre easier to shot in the front and harder to shot in the back. trade-off. its almost like saying that everybody in smash has to be the same person cuz 1 person has an advantage over an other. Fox God tier.

the 2 look similar in posture and that means that they could be identical. so whats the problem? im just saying that players should have the option to do choose either/or.

The elite and spartan have a difference in sizes and therefore it is easier to hit elites. They also look different. But in games such as Shadowrun, different races have different characteristics. Trolls are bigger and more powerful, elves heal themselves, etc. In a game like that it actually makes a HUGE difference between what race you are.

Look at it from this perspective:

You keep referring to Smash, SR, and games like that. That's a major fallacy. Smash was made to be played with different characters. Just because Fox is on Top Tier doesn't make him the best. Actually, ICs--a middle/high (It's still kind of up in the air) tier character--can deal with him and a lot of other top/high tier characters effectively. He's not top tier because the majority of the time ICs have trouble dealing with most match-ups. There are a few middle tier characters that can counter high tier characters. There's people who can play Mewtwo, a low tier character, effectively. Hell, Azen went through a tournament using Link! The tier explains ease-of-use and is based off tournament trends and metagame, not balance.

SR was meant to have different races and was balanced to be like that. Trolls get pwned by other trolls/snipers/good rifles, elves get pwned by everyone but are mainly used for long range and healing, and humans give out money and are an all-around support character (Close and long range.) that heal a little bit. The races balance out (Minus the dwarf. RIP :() and there's a purpose to be different races in this game.

In H2, the Elite model is just a cosmetic (For you, Pepper, I will translate: for looks) change made in the game for people who thought it would be cool to be an Elite. If you are an elite in H2, you could be easily headshotted from the front, which is a major trade-off than not being able to be headshotted so easily from the back seeing as how you have to face the person as you're shooting. Their body is also bigger, which means there's more to hit. (Hence the mention of hitboxes.)

As you see, Pepper, SR and Smash were MEANT to have different races/characters. H2 was MEANT to be balanced with everyone starting on a level playing field in terms of attributes. Elites subtract from that with bigger hitboxes.

I can't see MLG using the elite models, there's no need, they admittedly do look much better in halo 3, but there are differences between the two models. I remember reading that there we're certain glitches that only applied to the elite model, why? Because there still different, it's best for MLG to keep things on an even playing field even if the difference is small.
