View Full Version : Worried about Halo 3?

Is it going to be good. i played the beta and liked it but I have seen what else they have added and it looks like it isn't going to be so good. The sheild regenerator that you stand next you and you are almost unstoppable. The Brute Shotgun things. Whats up with those? Are they weaker than the normal shot gun but together they are the same as the normal one or a little stronger than it? Why do they have knifes on them? The shotgun and then melee kills already. Are they just trying to add as much as they can without focusing on what Halo is and what is a good game or do they take days to fit one gun into the formula? I know Halo 3 is basically done but all this new stuff I have heard about Im not liking. Also whats up with the different looks for multi-player? why doesn't everyone just be the normal? Why do they even put that in there? I think its just taking up space on the disc that could be used in other ways. Thats just what I think. What about you guys? Anything in Halo 3 you wish they didn't do?

I love the new additions to the game. And bungie knew some people (MLG) wouldn't like what they're adding so to make up for that we were given Forge.

Alot of the new stuff seems gimmicky, but that's okay because we'll be able to remove them with Forge.

Why do they have knifes on them? The shotgun and then melee kills already.All of the brute weapons have huge blades on them: spikers, brute shot, maulers, etc. It's an aesthetic addition with no effect on gameplay.

All of the elements of the H3 were extensively tested by Bungie staff day and night. They're doing very hard work to balance the game (or they were; they're done now).

FYI a different skin for the multiplayer characters does not take up a lot of space.
Anything in Halo 3 you wish they didn't do?Actually...there isn't much I can think of. I'm worried about the number of maps well-suited for competitive play but that's another wait-and-see thing. Equipment sounds good and I expect some of it to be used competitively.

Yeah this game is so tweakable it's gonig to be hard to not like it.

The Invincibility powerup is supposedly based upon the Brutes' "beserker" mode from Halo 2 when they would approach death and freak out, charging the player. In Halo 3 they can use this in Campaign and will rush you while being invulnerable to damage...ie, you have to ****in' run really fast.

I just get tired of people complaining about a game thats not their style thats all. After reading forums for a while tension builds b/c of jerks.

If the brutes can't shoot while using it, hopefully players won't be able to either. That's the gist of smoke, and it's what I'm hoping for.

The invincibility feature wouldn't be a defensive option. I think the best thing they could do with that idea is to allow only melees while Invincible.
