View Full Version : MidshiPir, Midship REMAKE is Finished and ready to play MLG

Map has weapons and spawns. Outside Emergency spawns are blocked so you will not spawn outside the map. Getting outside is impossible outside of deleting/movin a wall. I have prepared the map for ALL gametype. I found and removed all Default objectives and added them to the middle to be used when you see fit. Even Jug. If you delete all the objectives the default ones re appear.
Weapon choices are of course a personal preference. I added a Laser bottem pink just for Status. I also added a 4 shot sniper to top car. Mauler replaced shotgun per MLG. Grenades plentiful. Frag and Plasma only as per MLG.

An old blank geometry version is available in my FS if you Like. I will make a blank curret version if demanded. Biggest change was the fixing of all objectives for the map. Most all objectives are ready to play. Spawns are not yet 100% how I want them but thats for V3 + More fine tunning for objectives.

I am still working on it. I have a Weapon/nade populated version with small geometry fixes. I don't plan to release it untill I have the map ready for all gametypes. CTF Ball Bomb ext
I could add the Gravlifts to center but I don't see them having a major effect on gameplay and are just a waste of budget in the end.
the pictures make it look very bad...because it is that bad...since when is there a side room to the base?mine is still the best so stop trying people

Since when is is a Bad thing to reimagine something in foundry?? The base was to small and open for the map so I made the base a hair bigger and I think it feel much better that way.
Every Carbine and pink I have seen are terrible. Mine are just about perfect. Most, wait I think all of the pink jump ups work and they are not overly easy. I have carbine bubble and carbine sheild you can jump upto
C3 with The bubble are out of original place but that was unavoidable with keeping the rest of carbine so perfect.

This is a really nice looking map.
The layout and geometry of the bases look like they were designed with optimal gameplay in mind.
Would be a great map for these gameypes:
2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 TS
4v4 CTF
4v4 Oddball
FFA

C57R yours could be ALOT better. And do us a favor do not trash someone else's work, I dont care how good or how bad YOU think it is. Its not needed here.

And I approve of your apparent desire for MLG to pick up Street Fighter 3. That game kicks ass and would be very competitive with a pretty high skill ceiling.

midship is dead. no more kicking a dead horse. midship was purple and had towers in the map not shaped like squares. :sad:

No but really every single good map in this game is small and symetrical. My map is small and as symetrical as foundrys geometry allows. I just see all these terrible remakes/maps and I thought I could do alot better and till someone respectable tells me different than everyone else I have talked to I am quite sure I did. I have lots of small tweaks I am considering like the high wall by pink. The tall part is out but the lower cover it gave was good and I know a spot I can replace a couple walls with fences.

Only time will tell my angry friend. Bump...Even people looking for it couldn't find it. It was time+ V2 is ready.

Ok, so I looked around, haven't really played it, or checked your spawns or spawn zones, but from a cursory lookthrough, the only real problem I see is the bases feel a little too open. May be add another barrier on the car 2 ramps cause there was more cover there than what the door is giving. laser??? sword may be just a touch too high. Other than that it's a pretty nice adaptation.

Other than being the most playable midship remake I have ever played on, I'd say along with everyone else that cover is what really made the original. Keep goin at it!
Splaser not a big fan of but very creative near pink 1 area, we should definitely play customs sometime today on this it's like 3am here so yea, i mean today =)

Nice job on your middy remake, i'm not a fan of remakes but this one is remarkably playable and alot of fun. So far i've tried it for slayer and ctf and i'm lovin it. But I might take out the splaser. Great Job!!
