I know this might sound stupid but what are the point of huge clans. Clans like KSI, KYA, PMS, H2o...ect
They never play clan matches nor are they even semi-pro. Have you ever seen or heard of those clans in the MLG circuits. I know i havent im just saying that the whole point of it is useless just getting people together tht you wont ever go anywhere with. i mean if you had a huge clan wouldnt you want to get noticed for skill in the Pros. I know i would so thats all im saying, they didnt get noticied for skill just because their big or in the PMS case they are all females. Just think out of all those people how of do you guys think you can beat. They have no real exp in in the circuits or against real players than just randoms who join their custom games and get owned and then they think they are good. Ive never seen a PMS H2o KSI or any of those in the pro section or kust listed on the site rankings. When i mean Pro in not talking about the fake ass WSVG i mean the real deal MLG. Well that all im saying because i was wondering.

Usually those are people that just enjoy games with other people and have a friendly community. They aren't there to impress anybody, just for fun.

I want to find a medium-sized clan that IS skilled...anyone know any?
How are we even supposed to find good clans that exist? All I really know of where to find some good players in on here, Gamebattles forums, or Halo3Forum.... I haven't really put that much effort into it.

neither have i. i dont think they should be called a clan just some randoms who play together, also they call them selves pros because they are in the clan. That kills me.

Why do you have friends on your friends list that you don't ever plan to go to an MLG event with?
Big clans don't really bother me unless they are talking trash, but then again anyone who talks trash annoys me.

Big clans are great. Most none of them act or try to be 'pro', but those that do are usually shut down pretty quickly.
I actually wouldn't mind joining an MLG clan, for people who enjoy the competitive aspect of the game. We don't need to be a team that goes to events. Just a gorup of friends who enjoys the gametypes and whatnot

Count me in, that's what I was looking for. Events would be cool, should we have the skill/money/transportation (etc), but for playing online, that would be great.

you could make you own? and it kind of sucks with halo 3 because there is no clan system. i hope they put one in tho. i was thinking maybe since u can view friends of friends, you could make a silver tag saying like "MOB Clan List" and have everyone whose in the clan add it.

I know a big team battle clan, that will definitely be taking off big again once h3 btb is ranked, they are super organized in game play, it's really something to experience, it's like playing an mlg match, but with 8 ppl all communicating and having specific roles in the team, based on their strengths. Their name is Arm The Flag

I play with a clan called Baptized By Fire. They've been around for over 7 years now (they started a PC clan, then started an xbox division when it came out) and they're a fun group to play with. We play all the good games that come out, and usually there are around 30 people that play each game. Amongst those 30 there are probably 3-5 players that are extremely proficient at the game.
I've played with BBF since about when the 360 came out, and I know they were #1 at CnC3, for both PC and 360, and they've been rather good at most the other games. I think the focus is more of a competitive group, that has fun with it. Good players and well... not so good players do clan matches all the time just for fun. H3 is setup a bit different in the clan, with 2 squads for good players, and then the very good/competitive players in the other. I suppose if you want to have a list of good friends, that won't get angry when you can't always 4-shot, or that you had an off game, you should check them out. (xbox dot clan bbf dot com)

well that is all good about the playing with just ppl who like to compete. I feel that should be apart of H3 but dont call it a clan tho. I feel that those ppl i listed are just wanna bes who WANT to go PRO but cant because they are lacking skill

This whole thread is just waiting to be severely flamed by someone with a brain...The people who are in those giant "online communities" or clans, or whatever wish to call them, most likely don't care at all about MLG or going pro or anything like that. They definitely don't care what you think. Whats their point? Well I would guess it would be to have fun. That is kindof the point of playing a game. They're all wannabe pros and noobs....uhhh yeah...so FBI The Agency, FBI ICON, and FBI Active Rush were just wannabe pros and they are obviously lacking in skill? Of course. And obviously you haven't followed MLG for too long because in years past there used to be several of those giant clans with competitive teams at MLG. I know that KSI, MoB, and XGC all had teams in the top 32. I'm not in one of these online communities and I have absolutely no interest in joining one, but I'm not gonna go around flaming them for being apparently pointless and being wannabe pros when I obviously have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

I'm surprised someone here actually understood that for once. I was in XGC for 11 months then moved over to KoG which is still run by the same people on the same site, its just a different tag in front of your name basically. Its true that Xiled Gaming is not built to cater to the top tier players, its more of just a place where you can meet new people and hang out but that doesn't mean that everyone in them is "bad". 3 of the best halo 2 players I had ever played with that weren't pro were in XGC.
Xiled Gaming is setting up something that gets the best players out of each of their divisions together and some of the guys are pretty good. I used to help out with that area but I decided to take a less active role in the clan and just play. KoG's is still kinda disorganized but SYN's and XGC's are up and running.
If you want you contact anyone who is involved in the Elites or just see what they are about (they don't play as elites by the way) you can go to www.xiledgaming.com and check out the Xiled Elite's forums.
Almost forgot. XGC, KoG, SyN, XGG, and XG Elites are all part of the same community and run under the same website. They are different divisions of the same community each with different rules but they are all part of the same thing.

yeah I personally just think it is a way of organization. It is just like any clan. People that have something in common.

im not sure what anyone else really thinks about this... but.... i think the "big clans" like ksi, mob, xgc and whatever else, should actually be called CLANS. other "clans" such as mlg teams, or gb teams, should be called teams. Thats just about the only thing that could possibly make since to me

Yo if you don't mind doing some organizational work I'd love find someone to get that idea started with. Anybody PM me this clan would rock some socks.
