Can people learn how to block off the auto spawn points!
So many maps are ruined by having people spawning outside of the designated area with no way in.
Just a run down of how this is done for those that don't know:
1. Load up foundry Canvas with NOTHING in it.
2. Look down when you immediatly spawn, and without moving put a spawn point underneath your feet.
3. Cover the spawn point up with something fairly big and solid (A crate or single box are fine but dumpsters and barrels work - just they can be moved.)
4. HERES THE HARD PART: Each map has 8 auto spawn points, and once all 8 are covered up you can break forge. A quick run down of what happens:
- the game looks at spawn points on the map and places you in one.
- If there aren't any spawn points placed/free it places you in an auto spawn location.
- If the auto spawn location is blocked, you remain in a black screen until one becomes availble.
AFTER you have blocked your starting point, go into monitor mode and press Start, then New Round.
Do this 7 more times, BUT on the final 8th time (the way to remember which time is once you're down to 92 spawn points) PLACE another spawn point in the middle of the map BEFORE you press Start New Round.
If you fail to place a new spawn point before starting new round then your map breaks. This happened to me after I put in 22hrs of work on a prisoner remake, and there is no way to get it back if you've saved it.
the 8 places are:
2 on the back wall, 2 on the side wall, 2 on the ledges in the "bases" and 2 indoors on the bases.
I know some people will reply with "oh but my map has never spawned someone outside". Well it can happen. So for $24 (in game currency :P) you can save your map! PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
