Description
Midlock V9 is a symetrical map similar to warlock from halo 2. Its a combination of midship and warlock. Teams spawn at opposite bases and will fight for control of the rockets and the active camoflague. Controling the side bases will also give teams a large advantage over their opposition. 4 Teleporters makes manuverability on the map easy, and flag carriers will aim for the portals. Control of the portals and top-mid lends for ultimate map control.. King of the hill on this map relys greatly on controling the power weapons and power positions. Midlock is a fast pace map which relys on team work and communication. You need to constantly look at your teamates callouts because this map is all about the team BR. Right off the spawn you will need to be quick on your tows and react quickly. Teams with the most teamwork and chemistry will come out on top. May the best team win.

This is one of the two flag bases. Each flag base has a short barrier in the front of the base for some cover, but not to much. Then I placed a vertical dumpster on the map to add cover in the base. A small box on the side also adds additional cover to the base.

This is the top mid structure which is very similar to the top mid structure on warlock in halo 2. The cammo respawns every 3 minutes in 4v4 and 1 minute in FFA ( I thought it would add something eles to FFA). Teams can jump from each base to the middle area just as they could in halo 2. 2 Dumpsters provide for additional cover.

Stairs lead up to the side bases and the flag bases from the bottom middle area. Teleporters also make it easy to transport from one side of the bottom to the other. This aid the flag carrier greatly.

This image lends to the power position on opposite sides of top mid. These positions can control the side basis and also allow to shoot across to any area on the map. Like any power position, you can shoot everyone, but everyone can shoot you. Teams will fight to control the upper areas on opposite sides.

Side Bases
The side bases are extremely similar to the flag bases. The major difference between the two is that the side bases do not have a small barrier for cover. The side bases only have the vertical dumpster and box for cover.

You will see teams battling for early control of the rockets and cammo. Some teams may send players to the top of their carbine area, while others may send them to cammo and have them jump up on the dumpsters to rush the rockets quickly. Either way, you can excpect teams to control the central area of the map.

This screeenshot shows the bottom middle area of the map and also shows the opposite portals for quick access across the map. Teams will fight for quick control of these portals in team slayer and CTF.

This is the carbine area of the map, teams will fight to control this area at their opponents bases to obtain map control. (Notice the carbine is not there, someone took it!) hehe.

This screenshot lends to the other set of opposite portals. Notice how you can be i na BR fight and if your opponent ports, you can still shoot them through bottom mid, just as you could in halo 2.

Here is an additional view of the cammo and rocket area from the side bases. This relaly lets the players understand the value of the middle and side bases on the map.

Your Feedback Is Important! Here is a list of some of the feedback I've gotten!
- Very clean Map
- Not enough Cover: I have added more, but I like the fact that this is more fast pace.
- Rockets are too powerful
- Top mid should be larger
- Spawns need work: (I have improved this slightly)
- Overshield Instead of Cammo?
- Bases could use more cover?
My Base Set up:
Each of the flag bases has the flga located inside a single open box. For cover, their is a small barrier in the front of the base. This allows for some cover, but not too much. In addition, each base has vertical dumpsters to allow for peak shotting and additional cover. A box is also included in each bse which I felt added another spect of cover to the base, this box is also useful for jumping on.
Side Bases
The side bases are extremely similar to the flag bases. The major difference between the two is that the side bases do not have a small barrier for cover. The side bases only have the vertical dumpster and box for cover.
