"Guy S3 1 shot he has snipe." callout i made last game then theres callouts like "Guy S2 full shields." made by a team mate of mine.Does anyone think the second one is use full , i mean ok the guy s2 part is but how bout the full shields ?Also just wondering what kind of callouts you use give an ex. Thanks

I think any and all information is usually helpful. Most people when they call out enemies, it is usually assumed they have had an encounter and are weakened. If a guy is one shot, or if a guy is full shields would give you better handle on what to expect, if you need to throw nades first or if you have none, can you just go in guns blazing. As long as information is timely, I dont' see it being a problem.

i agree with negative any form of communication that gives teammates information on the location of an enemy player is helpful no matter what the condition of their shields are, be they full or a 1,2 shot.
by communicating an enemys location ur giving the rest of ur team helpful advice that could potentially save your own hide if they spot you or anyone else on your team. Teamwork and communication go hand and hand baby

When you play with Randoms you have to be vauge when calling out. In Halo CE when me and my Friend played 2v2 Lan Tourneys. We would have the wildest call outs. Stuff that no one in thier right mind would ever figure out. So when you play ith randoms keep it simple and tell them to keep it simple.

I always assume they will have full shields unless told otherwise.

I think most people do, though there is nothing wrong with calling it out either way. The only thing I have never gotten with people callouts is when people call out where the ball is. If they have it somewhere wierd I suppose it is ok, but I have a big arrow telling me the ball is in blue room and do not need to be told. Again, it is not bad per say, but sometimes unneeded call outs like that can make it so I can not hear useful ones.

I always call out the ball, and then just think to myself "damn, they probably know that already".

No point in calling full shields. I'd just say "S2 with snipe" or sumthin like that
if theyre 2 shot or 1 shot then i call it, but otherwise i just call out location (and sometimes weapon)

More people need to start calling out about how many are dead and how the flow of the game is going + map control and all that stuff
B anyhow, i just call them out if I need help with something or I didn't finish them, to prevent useless calls

oK is it me? or people in this forum talk about the same **** in different forms?
You know how many callouts threads there is about the same thing is this right or is this wrong what should i do lmaoo....i say you play the game for fun and stop worrying about this mlg **** because mlg is the reason most of the good players quit gaming because they cant go pro. Thats the only thing that drives these kids ima play till i get as good as "Walshy" "T2" and other famous pros and they will never reach that level so they quit playing the game which i think its kinda stupid but oh well. And to answer your quesion either one of those is right depends on what your team mates like if you play with them long enough u should be able to understand what his trying to say when he says it for example if he says " guy on s2 i shot him twice" then u should know his half shield and his on S2 its that simple.

All the information you can give is useful, but try to keep it short so that other people can callout other things. Also try not to call out something that someone else on the team has already called out. I find that really annoying

Or when someone is like "S2! S2! S2! S2! S2!". That gets really annoying. I usually will just reply, "I heard you the first time you yelled".

Seriously dude. My cousin lives with me so we're always split screening and he does the same exact thing. I've kind of gotten so used to it that it's gotten to the point where I don't even recognize he's calling something out, my brain just tells me he's ranting about the guy he already called out many times before times.

Exactly. saying "full shields" is a bit redundant. its best to keep it short and assume full shields unless told otherwise. More good info in addition to where they are, is where they are going.ex. "Sniper at S2 going to elbow"
Also i like to use words like "Sniper Rifle" not "Sniper" when talking about the weapon itself, and a person with the weapon, same thing with "Shotgunner" and not "Shotgun", to avoid confusion.

A thread about callouts???
Who cares...?
The best way to win games is to mute your teammates and whore power weapons... Keep the power weapons/power up times in your head so your teammates don't get them and you should be good to go. :banghead:

seeing as that communication is one of the biggest aspects of playing competitively i think anycallout as to where an enemy is can be helpful. The status of their shields added is very smart also because then someone will know whether or not if they would be able to chase and finish the kill or not.
